They were getting stick all game from the away fans to be fair. I don't know why Bradford fans have such poor relationships with anyone who used to play for or manage Bradford ever. There are certain players who leave under a cloud, and who get a frosty reception on their return, like Harry McKirdy will next week, but we don't generally have this massive hatred for all our former players. Amoo came on for Vale at the weekend and even scored against us, but generally still gets respect from our fans, we released him, it wasn't him walking out on us or anything and he tried his best when he was with us even though he was part of a hopeless side that got relegated so we've nothing against him.

I don't think this massive desire Bradford fans have to see us go down has anything to do with Gibson or Patrick really, it's just Bradford and their weird fans.
Load of nonsense tbh. I agree the abuse Patrick and Gibson get is ott but they and the other rejects you took from us were part of arguably our worst ever squad and Patrick was putting lol on Twitter when we lost 5-0 and still played for the club, Gibsons dad was also always gobbing off. Neither had any class what so ever.

Look at former player Matt Taylor yesterday who also got a good reception had to say about us, Mark Marshall was serenaded the second half when he came on for Crawley. A few year ago Hanson and Billy Clarke when they came got standing ovations from near 20,000. Even Gary Bowyer got applause at pre match against Salford who was the manager who got us relegated, but a lot of fans had time for off the field as he was a decent bloke.

Act like a unprofessional cock who steals a wage and you’ll get shit, ott yes but still act with professionalism and give 100% and our fans will always respect a former player or manager. Even Peter Taylor when at Gillingham got a huge applause from our main stand and was considered one of our most boring managers of all time.

You’re making presumptions based on one game against you because you have taken a high number of players from a terrible team that often acted like they didn’t give a shit and said some ridiculous things you wouldn’t expect a professional to say.

Uh oh feels like a lot of tension in this thread, although understandable given as the National League is currently the toughest it’s ever been and you lot really need to do everything you can to not end up down there.

it'll be even worse next season when Boreham Wood and Bromley come up (please don't allow that...)

This is one of the main reasons I think we’re 100% down.

Our remaining home fixtures:
Swindon
Rochdale
Northampton
Newport
Bristol Rovers
Exeter
Mansfield
Stevenage

Realistically, maybe two of them are “winnable”. We’ve had our easiest home games already. We’ll more than likely get no more than 4 maybe 5 points from these.

That leaves a hell of a lot of points we’ll need to pick up on the road to stand a chance.

I genuinely think our relegation will already be confirmed by the time that final home game against Stevenage comes round.

You'll beat us at our place - nothing in the world seems more certain.

I've just been to see what the relegation odds are.
You can still get a price on FGR to finish bottom. OK its 4500/1 but with 66 points you have to think that the only way that could happen is if Vince has been found embezzling plutonium at the New Lawn, resulting in a Luton-style points deduction, followed by a cholera outbreak which wipes out the whole team

I hope Steve Evans isn’t in charge in time for our game at Valley Parade.

Need to get a new manager in before we get properly sucked into this

That's the only issue with teams on horrible runs, they sack their manager and come good again. We are the only one in the mix that haven't changed manager yet, not that we should.

If we sack Millen now then maybe we can get Curle back.
No chance of that unless Holdsworth goes.

I’d sack him and either get Simpson or Adams in.

People will say it will cost too much, well not a fraction of what relegation will cost us.

You always score plenty of goals against us up there. I seem to remember losing 3-2, 4-0 and 3-1 the last fews times. Not a happy hunting ground for us

The 1st season FGR were promoted to EFL they also had a similar bad experience that your team are suffering. And Coops was also manager during that season.
BUT following season Coops took FGR to the play-offs.
And again two years later.
Stick with the guy, you won't be disappointed.

Yeah but this is the worst Carlisle United team ive ever seen.
There won’t be any 3 and 4 goals scored from us. We have yet to score 3 in a game this season.

experimental361's expected goals table has Barrow 9th in the league.

I think we’ll be down with 2 or 3 games to spare. Scunthorpe will probably be the same, although they have a better manager than us so might put up more of a fight towards the end.

Taken me a while to calm down and compose myself after another huge win for us. Not our best performance with both of our strikers out injured but the fight in these players since Sheridan came in is huge. Boundary Park was bouncing again and it’s all because of one man. We’re by no means out of the woods with a big week coming up but to be where we are now is remarkable

Another great day at Ice station zebra......fantastic win, doesnt matter how we get them but if we carry on giving 100% then we wont lose many, the back 5 is looking very strong and the rest of the team is far better organised.
Sheridan has done something quite remarkable, just hope we keep it up.
Wouldnt like to see Carlise go down with me being based in west Cumbria so hopefull we both get out of this mess.
Fans are class too btw

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
He has added some passion and fight.......exactly what you need to get out of danger.

What will you do come the summer?

you now the drill with Sheridan, a decent short-term fix, but longer terms ends up a disaster, he collapsed things at Oldham a year later on 2-3 previous occasions which just added to your decline out of L1, did similar at Chesterfield not long ago.

Smart move to get you out of jail, but your owner will end up in a tough position come summer on whether to ditch him (right thing to do but fans would riot) or keep him (probably leading you to being down again next year)

Carlisle need a new boss, not one for giving people no chance, but appointment someone who hasn't ever been about this level before has ended up not the option for sorting their mess out, need to at least go down with some fight and hope of turnaround coming.

Genuine question, not trying to be difficult - but why no more boycotts at Oldham? It's still the same crooks in charge, isn't it?

The owner has said he’s putting the club up for sale and is talking to 3 parties. With Sheridan coming back the fan base has decide to support the fight against relegation and stop the protest for the time being. It’s working well atm

If they don't sell up in the summer, can you see the boycott returning?

xG is the most stupid pseudo stat out there.
there's a logic to it, it just doesn't mean 'deserved' goals or 'rightful' goals, or a points for being a good team. It's essentially a more accurate way to assess a team's attack than shots on target etc, nothing more than that but it has a decent correlation a lot of the time with who's actually doing well and the outliers like Barrow can prove more interesting than those like FGR who go to form.
