Totally agree folks. You see so many old school english managers in the top 2 divisions largely because younger managers aint given a chance. Good to see the likes of notts county giveing younger managers a chance

I’m glad some people can spell McClaren’s name correctly!

That would probably be the worst part about having him, Owlstalk has had about 4 or 5 different spellings already. Then again half of them on there find it hard to spell their own names.

Betting is all over the place for our new manager so no idea at this moment. Apparently the club did talk to McClaren but decided against it when they saw the fans reaction, that said he’s still favourite with the bookies so time will tell. Bullen said chansiri has only asked him to take charge until the 1st and possibly the fa cup game so it seems as if we don’t want to take too long.

Don't think he's done that bad a job? They struggled to survive last season and he's got them sat in mid table, with a very young squad. This league is mental, apart from probably the top 4 clubs everyone has a new manager by the end of the season. It will be Nigel Clough to Forest.

Shame. Like Warburton. Have a lot of time for him and like to listen to what he has to say. Defensively not good enough though and he seems to have been out foxed tactically too. Another managerial sacking though? Still no stability.
Not sure I agree with the timing either. Should have given Mark the transfer window to address the defence too.

I presume some if those names were caretaker managers but still a few managers since the start of the devade and just shows how badly ran the club is

Worst thing you can do is rush into a silly appointment , let's be honest this season is over for you so just make sure you get the right man is what the tuna man needs to be thinking.

If you could not tell whoever it is about the players you’ve got out on loan then that would be ideal.

Should never have sacked O’Driscoll this time 5 years ago, haven’t reached where he had them since then.

Funny you should mention those two. Someone I spoke to recently seemed convinced that they're about to both be sold permanently and it aint to County. If he is right you won't be happy with their destination. He seemed fairly convinced, but then again they all are aren't they?

I wouldn’t be hugely surprised. Quite a lot of your fans seem convinced that Yates is going to be the next big thing and should be recalled back to actually play matches for you. He’s having a good season but I’d be amazed if he ever played regularly above League One, just not good enough with the ball.

Grant is just a very odd player. Completely anonymous for long spells but that’s when he’s at his most dangerous. Ability to find space in the box and finishing is superb, but does he do enough to be a Championship player? Probably not.

You might as well cash in whilst their reputations are so high, we’ve just got to hope you hold off until the summer as they’re only going to go up if we get promoted and Grant wins League Two player of the year.

Heckingbottom to Forest according to a Nottingham rag. Usually I wouldn't pay much heed but with the recent takeover and where we are in the league right now I wouldn't be at all shocked if he goes.

Paul Lambert would do a job. Not sure why he has such an awful reputation to be honest, there is a lot worse out there.

Same scenario as Carlos where as no one has heard of him here but if I was you I'd rather that than a merry go round manager here, his record ain't too bad looking at it. Hope he does as well as Carlos did, precisely taking you're club literally no where in 2 and 1/2 seasons and spending loads too.

All I will say is German managers as a rule tend to play with a high intensity and high pressing game. We were at our best in that first season when we did that. I don’t take much notice of records tbh because they’ve generally meant naff all when it comes to taking over at wednesday. We’ve had ‘good’ managers come in and do terribly and nobody’s do well so time will tell.

3 promotions in Germany, quite optimistic with this. The resident dinosaurs on Owlstalk are gutted it's not Megson or Roy Keane which is also great news, hope he offers us some stability for the rest of the season and can start doing some
business this month. I expect some German players to join over the next two transfer windows.

He's Dutch.

Be interested to hear what 'conflicts' he had with the Stuttgart chairman,
