He would be well received at QPR. Linked with Shaun Derry too. Not sure what style of football either play but as long as it isn't hoof ball or playing for 0-0 then it will be an improvement.

Very strong rumours, from trusted sources, tomorrow will be Cotterills last game in charge, Monk will be unveiled on Monday regardless of the outcome, the deal is signed and sealed.

Well, as predicted above, Cotterill is gonzo. What a fraud of a manager, don't know why people keep giving employment to this odious prick.

Thats a shame, I thought he was doing really well. Can't see Monk fitting in there either.

Wonder what they think Monk can do that Cotterill couldn't?

Monk has had some decent jobs. He's really scraping the barrel going to the blues. Should be entertaining though.

Cotterill in completely and utterly inept at this level. Him getting sacked before the end of the season was the most predictable thing ever.

P.s. Paul Jewell is available.

Fuck sake hope Birmingham don't start picking up results, the bottom 3 being so bad is the only reason we haven't been dragged right into the mess.

Rest easy owl man, there's no danger of Birmingham staying up. They're going down with barnsley and sunderlandy

One day a Championship club will make the smart decision to give him a job, and he’ll bring many successes to the club. Potential for eventually winning the Premier League if you give him time.

Garry Monk confirmed by the club this evening, 3.5 year deal, whatever happens with the club this season I sincerely hope we stick with him, we’re rapidly turning into everything I hate about modern football.

Yeag his stock did seem to go down but never forget his success at bradford and wigan. That bradford team over achieved
He nowhere near over achieved with us. We spent over a mil on 3 separate strikers which in the 90's was still a shit load of money at this level. We also had loads of top flight experience on free's with the likes of Lawrence, Walsh, McCall, Weatherall, Sharp and Beagrie. Jewell will go down as a legend here, but he had one of the top budgets and we had a chairman who wasn't shy about spending, just a shame it crippled us longer term.

We won something like one in our first 8 games and were in the relegation zone, in the last 38 games once we got our shit together our form was up there with Sunderlands, who were one of the great championship sides.

Seems the perfect match.

Owners who like to sack managers employ a bloke who has spent the last two years getting sacked.

No his contract was up.
He was on a rolling one-year contract with Leeds.

"Andrea made it clear to the media yesterday that his intention was to exercise the club's option to extended the manager's contract for another 12 months and immediately begin negotiations for a longer term deal... Garry's agent requested that the option was not exercised and his resignation was received this morning." -

Contract still up technically then. Sacked at Swansea wasn't he?

I think it's a shit appointment really, a side struggling for goals shouldn't be appointing Garry Monk.

Yeah, when they were 15th in the League after finishing 8th in the previous season.
Not surprised, he doesn't really fit the Swansea philosophy does he.

What were your thoughts on the Cotterill sacking and Monk appointment, happy?

After today’s pre match interview, I’m fairly certain Mick is on his way in the summer, if not before. He looked rough and p*ssed off after the M.D. Milne made an announcement that the club have made a decision about season tickets and next seasons manager before talking to Mick.
Not seen him like that before.

I reckon you'll agree to take the Cowleys on for next season.
