Well, the Rovers v Swindon had nothing to do with you.

As for bottling - I see another TV appearance did the job for your lot, again.

What are you, seven years of age?

I posted something, in good faith, that you have found to be wrong (by digging into the Wigan manager's comments about a game that didn't involve your club, how fucking sad are you!). No more, no less. That hardly merits your ridiculous description of "absolutely factually incorrect bollocks" does it.

As for your accusation about a pattern of mistruths, I'd suggest you either retract that or prove it, as it's you that is talking absolute bollocks.

Touched a nerve did I Eric?

If nothing else, you might want to do a bit of research before you post things on the internet, 'in good faith'.

Is me doing a quick google search about the Wigan v Oxford rearrangement any more sad than you posting about the incidents that happened in the Bristol Rovers v Swindon game, a game that didn't involve your club?

now who is having a hissy fit!

It's not that long ago that I saw Burton Albion playing Vauxhall Motors in the Unibond League. Good luck to the Brewers I hope you stay up and relegate Swindon.

So you won't be commenting on any of our games then?

I don't know if it will help our cause . But Joe Ledley is training with us with a view to sign.

Who rattled your cage? Get thee back to whatever league you’re in these days.

Surprised Swindon/Oxford fans don’t get on so much on here.

I actually quite like the City fans on here tbh

Thats because there isn't any. Ciderhead was decent but has probably given up as the rest of them dissappeared.

I could quite easily carry this on as I am sure you could Eric but I think its probably best we call a halt to this now and agree to disagree on our analysis of the situation?

In general the Oxford fans that post here seem pretty decent and down to earth. Back in the days when we were actually doing well in League 1 along with Bristol City there was a fair bit of banter with some very good posters, but some absolute weaponry as well. The numbers have tended to drop unfortunately which makes for a quieter forum than it used to be.

One of my fears about League 2 next season is the absolute whopper of a Bolton fan who appears to be a permanent fixture on every thread posting absolute nonsense

Football rivalry is a strange beast. Taking the entire Oxford equation into the mix - fans, club, physical location even - I detest the fucking lot. But I could happily have a beer with Eric and have a laugh/banter about things.

I don’t think he could, though.

True. Although I rarely check this forum these days. Used to use TFF more than our own until the old one closed and now this one seems to be dying slowly.

Think there are a few city fans on the other football forum tbf.

You’ll find L1/2 fans tend to be more self deprecating. The higher up you go they tend to get self important about their clubs and take it too seriously.
There aren't that many posters on the PL forum either, they must think it is beneath them.

How was our game today? I completely missed it
Absolute shitfest if I might intervene. Like a training match really, but we did two goals and you guys did none.

No. No! No pubs are open so stop flouting the rules.

Edit: it’s completely impossible to reply to a specific part of a comment on an iPhone TractorBoys

Good stuff.

Sounds like we used all our huff & puff on Portsmouth then.

How long until he’s banged up, though?

He won’t last long.

Think we're done in now, took one point from Wigan, Burton, Swindon and Rochdale in the last two months, not won in 13 games, no form and no goals to keep us up. 3 more to come down with us.

Well the game on Saturday was a 'feast' of football. I think Northampton had 60% of completed passes and we had 56% which is a very poor standard.

Northampton will surely be seeing this as a massive chance lost as our keeper (who was on a 7 day emergency loan anyway) got injured in the warmup and we had to play a youth keeper. I'm not going to pretend we were any good, we weren't but Twine scored a cracking free kick and the Northampton keeper must have had concussion or was bored as he spent pretty much the entire game wandering aimlessly out of position. One time too many as this was how we scored the winning goal somehow.

7 points from 9 is massive for us.

Bristol rovers tomorrow for us at home.
Bit of a bogey team for us over the years, and we have been royally dicked down there a couple of times.
Need to win this one and it’s a genuine 6 pointer.
Not sure what to expect now they have the bin dipper in charge and they won on Saturday.

Ah the good old days of playing Burton, they were much more fun than the recent traditional last minute winner for you at the Pirelli.

There were a few 4-0, 5-0 and 6-1 results in there weren't there?

This will be a tough game. Obviously you're bang in form right now and made some good signings. We've just beaten the 2nd best in form team and didn't allow them to have a shot for the first 75 minutes - if we can win i'll have every confidence we're staying up, but I'll take a point tbh

I knew Burton had picked up in form since JFH returned, but only just noticed they're actually out of the relegation zone. That's some going! Seems like only yesterday that they were regarded as League Two in all but name. I know Southend have also picked up formed down in L2 and climbed out of the relegation zone, but the L1 relegation zone is twice the size of the one in L2 and Burton's fate looked way more sealed than Southend's ever did.

Also notice Shrewsbury getting closer to it again, got a couple of friends I regularly chat with who support Shrewsbury but last time their club's situation came up in conversation they had pulled so far clear of the drop that nobody was even talking about relegation any more, a playoff push even being whispered about. Are they now in trouble again?

I have to put it down to jfh and Dino marmaria who have changed the formation, bought in 11 new faces and dropped the dead wood.
Defensively we look stronger. Confidence has returned.
We could still drop into the bottom 4 however..poor against brizzle and we have posh tomorrow who are on fire.
