Stormy here today and pishing rain. Was speaking to my mate the other night about life down under, and he was telling me of the huge spider he has got in his garage that's made an old unused car it's home, and that they have most of the deadliest snakes in the world, and I came to the conclusion that for all the dreach weather we put up with here, I think I'll rather stay here in Scotland thanks.

Your friend should pop across the ditch and spend some time in NZ where there aren't any snakes or overgrown spiders! ;)

Yeah claret if I were to visit that area then I think I'd rather head to New Zealand anyway, it looks a stunning place. Always been fond of it as one of my lecturers when I first went to uni was from there and she was kind of sexy for a nerd. ;)

Hope you bought a few bottles of Springbank at the distillery when there; one of the best distilleries in the world.

We must be having the lighter snow here in Hertfordshire - probably had worse in December...

Very cold naturally but you just wrap up warm for that!

It's been reported on Sky News that it's so cold in Liverpool, Scousers have been spotted with their hands in their own pockets.

Bedlam here today. Trying to get to Coventry by train, but more concerned about not being able to get back tonight. Stranded in Cov, what a thought.

And now Sunday is due to be 18c

In 10 days the temperature will have changed by 31c

That is absolutely f***ing ridiculous. Strangely people are relatively chilled about that - I bet if it went from 0 up to 31, they'd all go into meltdown though
