Dark Souls 3
Beat this on Friday night. Checked a guide to see what I missed and I completely sidestepped Archdragon Peak. Ah, fuck it. Not going back.

Gears of War
Finished this last night. General Raam has to be the easiest end boss in any game.

Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright
I'm on chapter 12 or 13, not sure. I've got a few married characters now so I've been doing a few of those paralogues.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Edition
I bought this for under a tenner a while ago. I've tried to get into this genre of games for a while and not managed to find anything decent. Soul Sacrifice on Vita wasn't great and Toukiden on Vita wasn't particularly good either. Thankfully I'm really enjoying this after a few hours. The mechanics are really good and the world itself is stunning. Gonna spend most of my night on this.

Watchdogs
I started this a few nights ago. It's enjoyable and better than I thought it'd be. Hype innit.

Doom
I've been snatched away from Mars and thrown into a Hell dimension.

Don't do paralogues until chapter 18!!!
If you do them at chapter 18 (or might be 19) they are at lvl 20 with a special seal to promote.

Birthright is, unlimited grinding opportunities. Conquest you need to make the most of each mission.

Homefront.

Its not as bad as everyone says, if you want to smash your controller every time the game freezes - it isn't for you. Obviously this is awful and shouldn't be excused. But the game is OK - it reminds me of Dying Light but is yet to immerse me into the game.

Managed to download Blood and Wine, although the game crashes trying to get to the new area. Hopefully it's because I hadn't downloaded patch 1.20, was still on patch 1.12.

So I bought this on Saturday and finished it on Sunday. Thought it was terrific tbh. Stunning visuals, great voice acting and a great overall story. The ending is probably the weakest bit of the whole experience. Oh, music was really good an' all.

Alien Isolation
Started this again after losing interest in it when I bought it. Tis quite tense at times, especially with the Sony headset. Big Alien fan too so that probably affects my opinion that it's a great survival horror experience.

Tropico 5 is actually very addictive. If any of you are PlayStation plus members you should try it out before they update their free games list

Am now about 3/4 the way through Half Life 2. The first time I played it was so long ago it may as well be new to me. It's just such a fantastic game.

Also dipping into Democracy 3, a government simulator, because I am a sad obsessive, and of have recently returned to FM16, attempting to get Dunquerke out of France's third tier.

Aye, I'm expecting it to be taken away so just casually playing it at the moment. I heard something similar happened once before on PlayStation and the revoking of the licence took weeks.

Fallout 4 is only £13 in my local CEX so when they take it i will probably just buy a copy. I have never fancied it before but the game had a good opening sequence and i want to know how the story unfolds now. Just killed my first Deathclaw.

Had a message lastnight from Xbox Live saying the license is to be revoked but here's $10 for the inconvenience

I'm currently doing side missions in the Siberian facility. Just got a silencer for the rifle thingy. Really enjoying this game.

Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright
Chapter 21. How many is there? 24? Cracking game.

Doom

On the I Am Vega mission. Feel like I'm almost at the end now.

Alien Isolation
Not played much. Just found the data cell and had my first real encounter with the Xenomorph. I never used to get 'scared' by horror games, but a few recently have shit me right up. Tempted to watch Alien and Aliens tonight after this.

Been playing GTA V. Finding it a mixed bag tbh. Last GTA I played was San Andreas and the controls have thankfully improved a bit since those awful ones, although camera angle problems are still an issue. The highlights once again are the radio commercials etc. There are impressive technical elements, some great visuals and a city that feels alive.

Unfortunately, as I found with San Andreas, going around a city killing people for a few dollars isn’t a feel good experience. I only find Franklin vaguely likeable out of the 3 main characters. The gore and violence seem out of sync with the more comedic elements of the game.

For a game that is supposed to be edgy and for adults, it seems to do so mainly by cheap methods of violence, drug use, swearing etc. Basically what kids think of as edgy and adult.

How damn great is Overwatch? I know I keep saying it, but fuck it, here I am saying it again. Beauty of a game.

Had a kick ass game with Windowmaker last night. Kept swinging around with her hook like Spiderman and constantly sniping sons of bitches from everywhere. I sucked as her when I first played as her because I didn't get the whole charge thing, but now that I've gotten used to that she is deadly as fuck. So satisfying to hit one of those quick sketchy Tracer fucks and see her die in one.

Just got Overwatch yesterday. It's great fun. All the wildly different abilities make it so much better than a standard mulltiplayer shooter.

Playing a bit more of Alien Isolation. Either games are getting a bit scarier or I'm turning into a right fucking sissy. I'd have laughed at this game in my youth, but I'm finding it tense in my old age.

I think it's normal to find some things scarier as you get older as certain concepts have more gravity to them as you become more and more emotionally mature (e.g. death, failure, danger).

plus that game is tense as fuck.

I downloaded the old GTAs a while back and I had a go on Vice City this afternoon. It hasn't aged well, has it? Clunky controls and the graphics aren't great (suppose it's to be expected given how old it is). Still one of the best soundtracks to a game ever though.

Yeah I guess. Are you a fan of the game? Those Worker Joes are fucking creepy. Might scare me more than the Xenomorph.
