I've only just got the first Dress Sphere, not had much time to play it in the past few days tbh, that, and my emulator likes crashing my graphics card. Thank god for save states.

Just started this. How fare in are you now, Jase?

Yeah I guess. Are you a fan of the game? Those Worker Joes are fucking creepy. Might scare me more than the Xenomorph.

I am. I think it has a flawed narrative structure (there are really poor pacing issues, particularly towards the end) and I think the game is too long for a single setting but I have a great deal of admiration for triple A game devs who stick doggedly to a mechanical conceit (i.e. a fucking invincible enemy relentlessly hunting you for the entirety) when it would be so easy to water their idea down to make it accessible to everyone. It's the only game I've ever played that accurately captures the essence of being a protagonist in a slasher movie. I can think of very few video other games that offer me a singular, distinct experience

Interesting question: Alien Isolation is ambitious but flawed, whereas TLOU lacks flaws but doesn't have a great deal of ambition (at least mechanically). Which game, then, should be offered up as showcasing the strength of the medium?

Copying all my backwards compatible games onto the Xbone, and completely forgot I had ever downloaded the Witcher 2. Worth playing now or should I seek out the first one and play that first?

Never really played Witcher. But there are 200 titles now that are backwards compatible which is pretty good. MS done well

Rise of the Tomb Raider
Need to rescue Jonah from Trinity. Think I'm nearing the end now.

Odin Sphere

Finished Gwendolyn's campaign and I'm now on the Pooka Prince book. Loving this game. Art style is gorgeous. Loved Dragon's Crown and now this. Might have to play some more Vanillaware titles.

Layers of Fear
Quite a creepy, atmospheric horror game. Enjoying it after the first few hours.

Atelier Sophie
I'm a bit stuck now. Not sure where to go for the next memory. Also just recruited Fritz.

Got back into Destiny :ffs: the past few weeks, and got my character up to 330. Think I'll get to max (335) and then that'll be that for a while.

Just finished Rise of the Tomb Raider and am just starting to go around finishing off any challenge tombs etc that I had missed.

Plan to start MGS Phantom Pain shortly.

Indie game I picked up on Steam, basically, dig for oil. Resource management game. Almost at the end now to be honest, need to continue buying stocks in the town and I'll become mayor!

Just started this. Not sure what to think to be honest. It's a little dull but shit-your pants creepy.

You know what? I think I've already pretty much decided that Overwatch is game of the year 2016. I know we're only half way through and other games are yet to come, but fuck it. I don't see any game being better than it. I mean, shit, Uncharted 4 has already come out this year and I still think Overwatch is the best game that's come out this year. It'd take a lot for another game to be better than Uncharted 4, let alone getting near where Overwatch is. I guess that's just it. If I find a game to be so definitively better than Uncharted 4, I don't see what sort of a chance most other games stand.

Just finished it. Thought it was pretty crap to be honest. A lot of walking through a house, a few jumpy creepy bits, a couple of puzzles and that's it.

Uncharted 4. Pretty similar to the previous three; over the top, non-stop action and bloody great fun. My only real gripe is the overly long cut scenes. I like that this one feels a lot more open though. One of the things I haven't liked before was that it was always obvious where to go and very little skill was needed.

A really good game.

Holy shit, you know what I actually did the other day?

Won a game of FTL. I didn't actually know people did that.

I wasn't even that impressed with my ship either, really. It came as a surprise, but I'll take it. That's like my biggest gaming achievement ever.

Just finished Murdered: Soul Suspect. A bit short, but I enjoyed it. Had to go back through it again to get all the collectibles, and it doesnt really stand up to repeated playthroughs once you've had the story revealed, so I'll probably trade it back in.

Have also been flying through Mass Effect series yet again. Early on a playthrough of 2 again, recruited Mordin and Archangel and now cleaning up all the DLC missions first before getting into the proper story. Currently on Overlord.

Just completed Uncharted 4. Excellent game, fun throughout.

Wasn't keen on the epilogue bit, not sure what it added and as I said before, too many cut scenes (too long too) but overall the best of the series I think.

I finished it not long ago too, I didn't really enjoy any of the young Drakes parts tbh, but agree the rest of the game was fantastic

I felt like they put in that epilogue just to try to confirm that yes, this is the end of the series. They can't go back now... they've already shown that Nate and Elena end up with this kid, living a relaxed life, ect... if they now go ahead and do more games, they can't exactly have us gripped about wondering if they'll survive, because we already know what's coming in their future. I felt as if it was put in there as much to deter Naughty Dog themselves from going and making another Uncharted as much any other reason.

They'll probably do one with their daughter or something or the next one will start as this one ended with the conversation prompting a flashback to the adventure. Who knows? Surely it's too popular to kill off?

Ah yeah, I'd agree there actually. At the very least, this is the end of Nathans story for sure... but what you say is entirely possible.
