Those questions sound crap, but it's not really the answers that are important (unless you answer things angrily or like a bell-end). It's just there to test how good you are at communicating - or at least, that's how I see it.

I conducted an interview once for a software development role. It soon became very clear that the guy was really bright (the PHD in Cryptography may have been a giveaway) so I stopped the technical questions and started asking about what films he'd seen recently (he hadn't seen many).

Most company's now put the wage in the job description so you know what it is before any interview.When they asked me that in the interview i said 20 grand a year.Ended up being paid 25 grand a year.Wish i said 30 grand.
