Fuck trimming, load of effort and tends to get itchy if overdone.

Don't really care if a bird has them either as long as it's not a massive 80's porn bush.

Yes, yes, sexism, but I can't help what I prefer. :dk:
Oh yeah....that's what I was used to....a lovely thatch a la Linda Lusardi.....

When you start going bald, at what stage do you bite the bullet and go all off? I still have coverage, but there is the inevitable glint at the crown in certain light and angle. My head has a couple of scars / dents in it, I reckon I'd look terrible with a zero cut.

Off of hair for a minute.

I hate the c*** who thought it would be a great idea to smash my passenger rear window so they could break into my car, get into the glovebox and nick a bag of change that probably had about 3 quid in it.
PRICK! Rot in hell mother fucker.

Unlucky mate. Happened to my van a couple of months ago. £75 of damage for a (I kid you not) quarter of a bag of chocolate limes out of the glove compartment. Hope he choked on em

Bad news about the cat today he has a tumour and the prognosis isn't good as it looks unlikely they'll operate. Crock of shit, and a bolt out the blue.

Also sad to hear, I adore my cat, he's lying on me as I type this. Would break my heart were anything to happen to him.

Aye it's cruel as he's a canny cat and doesn't complain about anything and even today after we got him back he's still looking fairly bright and breezy, but obviously the weight loss he's been suffering as well as his toilet issues have been hiding the tumour. Our last cat got one in the end as well so we've been through it before. We are seeing the vet on Friday to see what options are there if any, but if they won't operate I'm going to another vet we used to be with to see if they'll do it as the way I see it, its better to try and give him a chance than let him wither on if the tumour gets bigger.

Had enough of death this last year with my gran at the start of the year and my dad last year, and if the cat goes before his time then it's sucks big time.

Yep and the world can be a shit place at times. Going to be forceful tomorrow about an op if there is any chance of a recovery as he has a strong constitution, though every day he's getting that bit weaker so its now or never. Will have to see.

Same as that Jase i would be devastated if anything happened to my cat Bessie, she's a real character and makes me laugh when she has her mad moments. Saltire i hope your cat gets better mate as losing a pet is like losing a family member.

Indeed. To be serious when making that claim you'd have to be a bit fucked up or you have never lost a member of your family, or at least one you loved.

No, it isn't.

It can be to some. Most people who have had pets for years consider them part of the family such is the closeness between them that has developed. Just because they are not of the human form does not make make them any less a member of the family if that is how they view their pets. They have their opinion, youse have yours which is neither write nor wrong.

I'm aware it can be for some, but for me that it's a bit fucked up. And for me the death of that pet can't and shouldn't be compared to a close family member.

However, some people find it easier to relate to and love an animal than they do other people, even family members. Perhaps the fact I can't understand this either might explain my opinion. I've nothing against pets, I grew up with them and I have been close to dogs and cats in the past. But to compare their deaths to that of my aunt for example, which particularly effected me when it happened? No, that I don't understand.

Who'd have thought that different people have different views on their family members. I mean I'm sure there's a lot of people who couldn't give two fucks about their aunts and uncles for example.

The initial exception seemed to be to Mowgli stating that losing a pet can be the same as losing a family member, it was never stated by Mowgli how close that family member may be. I'd also say there will be varying degrees of on how much you love family members outside the nuclear family and so a family pet can still be considered as or even more important than a blood relative that you still love but probably still wouldn't see as important to you as your pet.

We should work a scale. Goldfish are probably a good starter point but even then there's probably some cousin somewhere you secretly think the world would be better off without.
