Thankfully i've managed to get them off me before they had chance to sting me.
Couldn't have put it better myself.
The wife's got a summerhouse out the back and a couple of months ago we noticed a small grey ball shaped object on the underside of the roof hangover. Had a look and saw one of the c*nts emerge....It was the start of building a nest, so it was sprayed severely then knocked into an empty bucket and squashed to fuck...YUGH! At least that's done away with one place and thankfully I've noticed no others. C*nts!

I've got what looks like a wasps nest on one of my door mirrors on my car. Hoping it's just a spiders web or a cocoon of some sort.

You'll know the difference between a spiders web and waspy hoose. Get rid of the fucker just in case.

Having to reapply for the job that I do, or take a statutory redundancy after 10 years of being here.

Having a managerial shake up so want everyone to reapply for some jobs. Out of the 17 of us, only 4 roles that are paid the same as what I get now. The rest are all lower so if I do not get the top roles (prob no pay rise) then I either accept a pay decrease or accept a 4k redundancy. The bastards.

Any alcohol which was below the MUP of 50p mate. Yeah, includes mine, vodka, rums, whisky (not the stuff you buy as that would be over the MUP prior to this being enforced in May).

Do they even bother with things like White Ace or White Lightning up there now?

I can't see how there'd be a market for it.

I know that these cheap ciders were the choice of the neds/yobs and the MUP really upped the price of them. However the main one 'Buckfast' wasn't affected by the MUP because of it was above the threshold. As for there being a market for the cheap ciders since May I honestly haven't a clue.

Yeah I remember saying as long as they don't change my malt prices I'll accept it, and relatively speaking they haven't.

Considering the reasons given for introducing it (save lives, reduce binge drinking, easing the effect on the NHS etc) have you seen what is in the pipeline ? Just noticed it earlier this week....there are to be 'discussions' about facilitating hardened drinkers, alcoholics to partake of their alcohol under supervision. It isn't to get them to stop you understand, just to give them somewhere safe to do their drinking (presuming a %age will be homeless) which will be dished out by whoever is supervising. Now the crux of the matter for me at any rate is that also to be discussed is whether it is to be given to them free or not. Now, can you see any of these people buying whatever shit they buy then handing it over to a stranger who will just dish it out to them at a specified time of the day/night? Neither can I.

I haven't heard about that idea, no. I believe something similar happens in Canada through volunteers, where alcoholics come in, have their quota once or twice daily, and are given beds and other facilities in a safe environment where they can be monitored and in the long-term weened off it by slowly giving them less booze; and it does seem to work for some. If they are trouble-causing drunks, they are kicked out and not welcomed back; but its an interesting idea. It has run into opposition from the usual christian and conservative channels, but if it eases pressure on hospital staff and families struggling to cope, then its work trying for.

Over here I'm unsure it could work if I'm honest. Its just our culture to be hard-drinkers, and I'm unsure this would gain any traction with opposition parties and local government who are struggling to get by on the meagre funds they are dealt with anyway, even by subsidisation. I don't think either that by raising the price of alcohol it will stop desperate people getting access to it. They'll just find the funds through different means - and some criminally I suppose.

Browsing...fucking browsing. Was up the town at a retail park to go into M&S foodhall...that was it, nowt else.....however the missus couldn't get a suitable birthday card for her sister in law there so she says we'll go to the other end of the retail park to the Range and have a look in there. Parks up and the missus goes into the boot and brings a bag out. Why the bag if you're only getting a card says I ? Well, when we're in we'll have a browse incase I see something else. Ended up wi a birthday card and 6 packs of daffodil bulbs ffs!

Pretty sure it's like an unwritten rule of being a woman to come out of a shop with more than you went in for and to spend four times as long in there than necessary because of the aforementioned 'browsing'.
