Surely it is national news. People travel to London from all corners of the country in their masses every day. I know it's now quite hip to be anti-London and despise the London-centric news but it affects a hell of a lot of people, not all of which live in London.

Are you sure about your numbers? About 14% of the UK's population is in Greater London. When you factor in the commuter belt, that's much higher.

Spelling mistakes on signs. A few times in the last couple of weeks I've driven past a sign warning of upcoming road closures, which said it was going to happen on 'nth Jully'. I was so distracted by 'Jully' that I didn't register the date - tried to drive down there yesterday and it was closed.

Are you sure about your numbers? About 14% of the UK's population is in Greater London. When you factor in the commuter belt, that's much higher.

The maths doesn't matter. They are still in and around London and have access to local media. Traffic and travel reports are enough to get the information to people. It's not a national, that's NATIONAL, as in supposedly of interest to the 80% + of the population who couldn't give a shiny shite about Londoners having to walk for a bit.
