He hasn't even achieved anything at United yet so struggling to see how the 2nd/3rd most expensive player EVER can be consider a bargain/great bit of business on that basis alone.
He's won as much in one season at United as Alexis Sanchez has in three seasons at Arsenal.

He's our best player, wouldn't look out of place at any of the top clubs in the world. Yes the best is still yet to come but I still reckon it's a great bit of business to have a unique talent like Pogba playing for us and people are saying it's starting to look like a bargain because of the prices being thrown around this summer. Ousmane Dembele just signed for Barcelona for £135m ffs.

Dembele will shine. People will say he was a bargain. The notion that Pogba was a better buy will be ridiculed.

Gibbs to Watford for £5m. Not sure Arsenal's policy of selling players for cheap and for free really suits the current market.

All that may come true. Just used his fee to highlight how much more Juve would've wanted for Pogba just one year on.

That was really just one of those throwaway posts that if it comes to fruition I can play the oracle. And if not, nobody will remember.

Tottenham are trying to sign Paris St-Germain's Ivory Coast right-back Serge Aurier, 24, for £23m before next Thursday's transfer deadline.(Guardian)

Only seen him play a few times but I've not been impressed. I would much rather we had Kyle Walker-Peters playing as a back up to Trippier.

At a guess it's because all of our squad players are on silly wages and the only way to shift them is to sell at low prices.

We have a bloated and shit squad right about now.

Poor Coutinho is 'very low' just now. I feel for the lad sitting there on his 150k a week refusing to play and his team struggling as they are. Shame. :shifty:

He has supposedly told Klopp that he doesn't want to be included in Liverpool's Champions League squad now.

If that's true, the guy is an unprofessional, scummy cnut. I'm hoping its a bullshit rumour. Besides, Barca haven't increased their bid. He won't be doing himself any favours either. Rightly or wrongly we're refusing to sell him, so he either plays for us this season to get himself in contention for the Brazil squad next summer, or he refuses to play and has no chance.

I read he wanted clear the air talks and was ready to back down. I wonder which is true.

Shut up you mad head, a bargain! Haha!

Buying a youth player back for 90 mil is not a bargain, it's a fuck up.

This can't be true, can it? He doesn't want to play for his actual club who pays him obscene money already only because he wouldn't be available to play CL then for Barca in the new year? Nah, can't be true. If it is really the truth than Klopp should let him play as a substitute in the 89 th minute in their first match at Anfield against Sevilla.....and all are singing "You'll never walk alone, Cuntinho" , that would be fun.

Nah, can't be true.

I was being semi-facetious RE: Pogba. Calm down girls. Comment was more just a reaction to the insane price of Dembele and the inflated market. I think Pogba is pretty much worth his price tag.

Aurier is very good. Apart from being a shit human being, he would be a great addition to Spurs' squad. Don't know much about Walkers-Peters but Aurier is easily Champions League quality.

We were supposedly in for him and I was dead against purely because of the personality side of things. He's a top quality right back as you say but I don't think he's worth the trouble, our dressing room seems to have a nice harmony about it at the moment.

You've got him all wrong. As long as his manager isn't a pussy, he will be a great success in the Premier League.

Absolutely. Get rid of Klopp and invite Rafa back I say. He'd run the first 100m between Newcastle and Liverpool faster than a drug-fuelled Usain Bolt.

Indeed, hence my comment that it could end up being the sensible choice. But he hasn't done much to justify his cost yet.

Dunno why you're pussyfooting around

Regardless of market value, or importance to a side, a player that you let walk away for nothing and then resign for that amount of money is not great business.

Is he worth it now? Maybe. But you had to pay for your own fuck up. Buying a player that you had anyway, and for that price.

Pussyfooting around? Read my last 4-5 posts in this thread rather than just the last one, you've basically repeated what I said almost verbatim.

Once Pogba left he was like any other player who we didn't have. £90m really isn't much money for a club like United these days. I couldn't be happier we've got him back and that's enough to make it great business in my book. Who knows, had he not gone to Juve he may not have a blossomed into the player he is today.
