My brother reckons he's heard Liverpool are finally negotiating the Coutinho move with Barcelona. We have left that too late, it surely can't happen now as it would leave us with a squad worse than last season.

Someone find me a business that thinks giving a product away for free and then having to fork out nearly £90M to get it back is good business?

Well Manchester United (Forbes' biggest sports team in the world) thought it was quite a good business move to make because er, they did it. They basically paid Juve a fairly low fee (relative to their income) to turn a product into one of the best products in its field.

Wayne Rooney's arrival from Everton for £27m in 2004 represented 17.2%of the club's overall turnover of £157.2m a year before the Glazer family takeover. Twelve years on, the cost of buying Pogba from Juventus is a similar 17.6%.

Relative to the purchase of Law from Torino 54 years ago, and the £1.5m spent on buying Bryan Robson from West Brom in 1981, these percentages are small.

Scotsman Law cost 61.4% of United's annual turnover of £187,178. In Robson's case the figures are 56.6% and £2.65m.

It should be axiomatic that players don't owe their clubs anything.

After Arsenal's display today, I hope Giroud has second thoughts and we go back in for him

Ok so a rundown of Leicester links as you all know they're more interesting than your clubs players.
Slimani - £12mill Watford bid rejected. Monaco apparently interested once Mbappe goes to PSG and although they are awash with money, they're tight bastards...so? Also Marseille apparently looking to get him. Wouldn't mind him sticking around. Maybe a Deeney swap is on the cards? Anything less than 20mill which represents a 9mill loss isn't worth letting him go.
Apparently we've bid 27mill for Andros Townsend. Lets fucking hope not.
Chelsea have apparently dropped interest in Drinkwater as we want 40mill and theyve offered 20. Why waste everyones fucking time?
On the subject of wasting time, Roma are going to waste some more by offering 40million Euros for Mahrez.
We've signed some French kid from PSG called Meite who will obviously be fucking amazing.
Oh and we tied down Ulloa to a new contract. Which is obviously fantastic.... for him n his agent. Miracles still going on at the King Power!

I'd take Slimani at Everton. Good player who from what I've seen doesn't suit Leicester's style of play

No he doesnt really but prior to the arrival of Iheanacho I'd have felt a lot more comfortable with him in Vardys place in case of injury than our other options.
And Nacho is injured.

Liverpool have agreed a club record deal with RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita, according to The Times.

He looks an excellent fit for that Liverpool midfield (Can, Henderson, Keita in a three?) from what little I've seen of him.

Shame you guys have to wait a year though, eh?

So he's Can's replacement with either of Lallana or Coutinho (if he's not off as well!) in that starting three?

A medical for a player that isn't joining the club for 10 months. Makes sense. Anything can happen in that time.
