Glad Coutinho is okay. I understand he has been so stressed out and concerned over his future he's been unable to play. Fortunately, he is feeling much better now and is expected to be available for Brazil.

Monaco have decided they are definitely not selling Lemar and you have to wait another year for Keita.

You might get Van Dijk this summer though, if you ask nicely.

One can only hope that he doesn't get an "injury" in international duty for Brazil....honi soit qui mal y pense :D

Delighted to hear that Alexis Sanchez is finally on his way out of the club. Completely overrated and a disruptive influence. Will not be missed.

If the reports of Sterling being offered plus cash in exchange for Sanchez are true then City have truly lost their fucking minds.

Do you mean in terms of the age difference and Sterling's perceived potential?

Really not sure why Johnny Evans is hot shit all of a sudden. Reminds me of Roger Johnson and Scott Dann at Birmingham. Look great in a defensively minded team that don't concede many, but put him in a side like Arsenal and he'll get badly exposed. There is a reason Evans dropped down to WBA when leaving United. Now City and Arsenal want him? Strange.

They're obviously not like for like players but, for me, I'd sooner have Sterling right now. He's the more productive player overall. Then you have the fact Sterling is English, Sanchez's unprofessional, shit attitude when things aren't going his way and on top of that the age difference. Sanchez is at his peak. Sterling is years off his.

If Arsenal get offered money and Sterling for a player who's spent most of the last 12 months sulking, they should snap their fucking hands off and run.

I'd say Sanchez is a better player than Sterling by several orders of magnitude.

He's only sulking because he is at an Arsenal side with a dinosaur manager and a team going through the motions. I don't agree with his behaviour but the situation at City couldn't be more different.

The age difference is a factor when it comes to the amount of money changing hands though, yeah.

They're not like for like so it's difficult to compare direct. But overall I'd sooner have Sterling, as much as I hate to say it.

Perhaps a symptom of a shortage of competent actually defensive central defenders at the moment.

Rumours currently abound that VVD has landed at Liverpool airport for a medical.

We've supposedly enquired about Sakho. Man I hope not.
Also we're monitoring Krychowiak at PSG dependant on Drinkwater possibly going. Seems a waste of time to me because I doubt he'd want to play for us.
And rumour has it we're looking at Chadli, who I think is bound to go to Swansea where he's more likely to get in the first 11 and have been interested in him longer.

If it's Liverpool's Sakho, what's wrong with that? He's a very good defender.

You think the money could be better spent on a different position?

I don't fancy having a player that can't correctly judge a bouncing ball and plays passes at 100mph to teammates standing 3 feet away. That's all. And for 30mill I'd rather look about.

Sakho is better than he looks but I did get nervous watching him I have to admit.

Inconsistent winger with a lot of potential vs one of the top three players in the league for the past few seasons. I think I'd opt for the latter personally. If City get Sanchez, I might cry. Though, not sure if you're taking the piss, since you called Sterling a more productive player.

Up it by 4 and I reckon you'll have him. Not really sure what the pointis in lowballing by a paltry 4mill when we've said we wont consider anything less than 50.
Is it like a test?
"We want 50"
"I bet you'll take 40"
"We won't, we want 50"
"But I bet you'll take 45"
"We won't, we want 50"
"Ok, 46?"
"SOLD!"

Sakho to CP is a done deal it seems, £20m upfront which could rise to £30m ,

Your sources are shit. £25m bid for Sakho from CP rejected. £22m + £3m in addons. Liverpool adamant they won't budge on £30m asking price.

He'll go for 28 mill which they should get by Thursday. Worryingly no bids for Markovic yet; can't give that sod away it seems!
