This was on Twitter - anyone know much about him?

"Mario Lemina is close to joining the #BPL, which would be to #Watford or #LCFC"
Generally seen as a DM but probably would be best in a box to box role, good on the ball, too good to just be a shield in front of the defence. We looked at him as a Kante replacement. I think offensively he'd be better but obviously nowhere close defensively. Difficult to tell about his defensive qualitie when he hasn't featured too much for Juve.

Stoke looking to sign Ramadan Sobhy? All they need to do next is sign Amr Gamal to have my Egyptian revolution from FM.

Chelsea linked with a big money move for a striker.

From what I've seen, Lukaku, Cavani, and Morata are the options.

If it were up to me, I'd get neither. Instead, I'd sell Costa and Remy and I'd buy a world class left back, right back, and center back. Maybe pull another Ashley Cole in Bellerin xD. We got great attacking options in our youth system.

I wanna know about Arsene transforming Gooners into a passing team and preventing injuries. You still not got back, I ain't mad, I just think it's fucked up you don't answer fans.

Just for you then :)

Arsenal have always been a passing team. You're right there. But the degree of passing changed from the team of Adams, Keown, Overmars, Henry, Bergkamp to the team of Fabregas, Hleb, Flamini, Baptista. The former needed 4 or 5 pass from Arsenal's defence to the back of the opposition's net.
Fabregas' team required 18 passes to achieve the same result.
This was typified by the criticism of walking the ball into the net.
The ability to pass the ball and the agility required meant smaller nimble players were recruited. Against Stoke, West Brom and other rough house teams of the day, these players were battered. Their lack of physicality exposed. Coupled with the awe inspiring, intuitive passing and pressing of that side and the training required to reach that standard. Not to mentions the games themselves, left a physical and mental toll.
Wenger was intoxicated with this style of play, but he had to abandon it. Today Arsenal's team are taller and stronger in key areas. They play with fewer passes (like the Arsenal of old) and they don't press nearly as much as Fabregas' team. Their current injury list doesn't include half the team. Which it was, at it's worst back then.

Read any match day Liverpool thread from the season just gone and you'll more than likely see "we only turn up in the first\second half".
None of our supporters ever seem to question why this is.
"If only we could get the team to play for a full 90 minutes".

Yeah, if only dead men could play for that long.

Arsenal don't and really haven't ever played a pressing game. Also I really can't believe you're saying that Arsenal are suffering less injuries nowadays. If anything it's worse. By a lot.

Just have a run through the squad. Cech, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Gibbs, Wilshere, Cazorla, Coquelin, Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ramsey, Sanchez, Welbeck all off the top of my head had spells out injured, some of them very lengthy (Wilshere, Cazorla) some are still injured.

Arsenal have two injured at the time of writing (Jenkinson and Welbeck).

Wilshere is the new Darren Anderton and shouldn't apply to this discussion.

We've all had injury runs like Wenger's on FM, he just needs to reload an earlier save.

Liverpool are confident of sealing a deal for Aston Villa left-back Jordan Amavi, reports Le Parisien.

The France U21 international only moved to Villa Park last summer and is contracted to the Championship club until the end of June 2020.
He was class for us before he got injured

We're signing Riyad Mahrez for £40m apparently. I like the guy but I'd prefer a striker, and if he joins for that money we're certainly not signing a striker aswell. It's been years since we had two very good wingers on either side of the pitch though so that would be nice providing he doesn't shit the bed and actually performs as good as he did last season.

Not sure on the £40m price tag but the market is so beyond fucked at this point it's not even worth talking about. I wonder how Vardy is feeling about all this?

Wenger might like him. But not for £40m.

Paper talk.

Well if we lose Mahrez, he's who I'd want in. And if we dont lose Mahrez, I'd still want him. Cos I'm a greedy c-word.

Mahrez impressed me from the first time I saw him, that 2-1 win at the Emirates where we were comfortably second best and Kramaric missed an absolute sitter near the end. So in a way I scouted him before anyone else.

Looks like we have accepted 6 million bid from Bournemouth for Brad Smith. Good price for us.

Mahrez impressed me the first time I ever watched him. You could see he had qualties. I don't want to brag though.

Would be a great signing for Arsenal, he's simply a great footballer. I think Leicester will dig their heels in on him though. It's in the balance where he ends up. I still have a hunch he'll stay at Leicester as they'll put a too bigger price on his head that Wenger can abide.

One of those players who looked like he was going to make it to the first team but never really had a good crack at it. Most of the times I have seen him, he seems like a flying fullback who crosses the ball into the box. He has already made 9 appearance for senior Australian national football team. Certainly has a lot of potential...probably the reason we are trying to include a buy back clause (like with Ibe).

I'd like to keep Smith, looks a bit hot headed but from what I've seen he's impressed me. With regular game time I think he'd be a good option for just about anyone.

He's ok but a bit one dimensional but he is quick and can deliver a good ball.
