As much as I'd love a Swede at Liverpool, no thanks. I'd rather have Augustinsson or Nilsson-Lindelöf, even though the latter looks United-bound.

Strongly linked with OX and Promes. I wouldn't want OX, he is a donkey. Promes not seen much to judge.

Klopp: "Usually I do not say anything about transfer rumours but the one about Oxlade-Chamberlain is nonsense."

Will Sunderland be after a new goalie with the news Pickford is out for 2 months?

Wouldn't mind Ox at Liverpool, but yeah someone has made 2 + 2 = 5 with this one.

Wouldn't have thought so, we're covered in that position, plus we don't have a pot to piss in.

According to l'equipe recently we've put solid offers on the table for defender Jordy Gaspar from Lyon and midfielder Morgan Sanson from Montpellier.

From Non League paper journo on twitter - "Hearing Arsenal have won the race to sign Hednesford Town's Cohen Bramall, the 20-year-old left-back. Will be confirmed this week #AFC"

Liverpool have invited Coventry City defender Cian Harries to train with them ahead of a possible transfer.

Capoue has been linked with Everton.

Thought Koeman was looking to improve his squad - not make it worse!

Reports in both Poland and France that we have re-ignited our interest in Kamil Grosicki. He apparently pulled out of training ill yesterday, but rumours are he is trying to force a move. We pulled out of the deal on transfer deadline day at the last moment because Stade Rennais tried to move the goalposts at the last minute. Good player but apparently he has gambling issues. Mind you, we've just re-signed Barton with well documented gambling issues, so would be a bit hypocritical to not sign this guy based on that.
Also rumoured to be after Barnsley's Marc Roberts, but can't think why we'd be after a centre half.
Max Gradel also linked with us from Bournemouth. We need wingers but not sure if they'd sell to us.

Love West Ham's bid of £6m for Defoe. I know he's not as young as he used to be but that's a ridiculous offer. :-D

A player's worth what a team is prepared to pay. Sunderland are in dire need of money, but also are in dire need of staying up to hang on to the Sky TV money. Defoe is pretty much their only hope of staying up, but at the right price could strengthen. Will be interesting to see how much Sunderland hang out for. There's no doubt about it, he's still got it!

Sunderland and Hull both after Tyrone Mings from us, according the the Telegraph. Mings is a backup defender here not getting a lot of games, generally considered a CB now after serious knee injuries.

Would seem a strange move for either club to me.

Indeed - has he played since the injury?

Lost the pace to be a full back?

Hasn't played much, we're talking one full cup game v PNE and a few 5 min sub appearances in the league.

The logic goes that CB puts less pressure on the knee in terms of twisting and turning and running distances. It's basically an entirely rebuilt knee that needs bedding in and proving, he needs games ultimately.

After what he's been through we're desperate for him to come good, but if we're not prepared to play him into match fitness then sitting on our bench isn't doing him any good. But I'm very surprised another PL club would take that hit. A championship loan makes more sense to me, if we can find cover. But if Sunderland/Hull fancy him, then I'm sure a deal could be done.

That seems cheap for a player every single Liverpool fan on this forum bigged up as the "new Baresi" a few seasons ago.

I think it's £7.5million raising to £11m but either way yes its a gamble. I think this is Steve Walsh ( Leicester scout who joined us) first signing and he was the man who found Kante etc............dont forget we spunked £25mill on Bolasie too lolz

It's no gamble, the kid is quality. He's only just turned 19 so will only get better.

Agree with what you're saying but there'll be outrage if he goes. He really is their only hope

Saw him a couple of times against us last season. He's a bit raw, a rough diamond, but definitely has potential. Pace, good ball control and tricky. Bit easy to muscle off the ball though and made the wrong decisions on occasion. Would learn a lot off the likes of Lukaku though.
