We already have more than enough strikers.
Only looking for a midfielder and a center half to complete our squad.
So that story is not true.

at least do you're research before saying its untrue!

he's a winger, not a striker.

Don't rate Pogba at all, he's the most overrated player in footballing history.
His stats are appalling.

Yep 10 goals and 12 assists in 42 games isn't that special really, certainly not 110m special.

Out of interest is he related to the Pogba that used to play for Wrexham?

I believe they're brothers, yes. Though a Wrexham fan may/may not correct me on that.

Yes you're correct. I think Paul came to watch Matthias a couple times at the Racecourse when the latter was here.

York fans: what's Wes Fletcher like? On trial with us tonight.
O'Connor will be offered something, but this guy could be the alternative.

For a moment I thought FGR were signing Matthias Pogba.

That would really piss me off.

They really rated him, but beset by injuries if memory serves.

Yeah, and not exactly prolific - don't even know if he's an out-and-out striker, or more likely to be the fourth winger we're after.

He was absolutely brilliant and would of sent York up to division 1 two seasons ago till Portsmouth away end of March, awful injury meant by Portsmouth defender broke his leg and injured cruciate ligament in knee, out for 8 months and never returned to same level and lost pace I'm afraid, went to Motherwell last season and hardly got a game.

The deal for James Caton is now off because nothing can be agreed. Sounds as though Cowley has just pulled the plug because it's been dragging on so long but it wouldn't surprise me if we heard something else on it in a couple of weeks.

We're looking at signings 3 more - a centre back, central midfielder and left winger with the former two music to my ears providing the CB has a bit of pace. That must mean one of Waterfall or McCombe will be leaving (my money is on Waterfall) and probably, as I keep saying, Craig Stanley. He only got another 10 minutes last night.

A couple are close to being done apparently.

I think the Cowleys are now realising that they can't do much with the players they've been given. The ones we have generally lack mobility and pace to play the Cowley way.

I'm not particularly fussed about Caton, he's a good player but not quite as good as some fans have made out. The rest sounds promising though, and I've noticed the Nathan Arnold rumours won't go away.

What's happened to Wes is a tragedy, but as mentioned he seems to have never properly recovered from a particularly bad injury at Portsmouth. Josh Carson got injured in the same game and he's never really been the same either.

Pompey have a lot to answer for.

I don't think he quite has the work rate for them. He'd certainly give you something going forward but probably expose us defensively too often so I'm not overly surprised.

The fact it's dragged on probably shows their indecision towards him.

Striker signing for us today apparently and then 2 more tomorrow (although 1 of those is a midfielder/striker).

Any chance of one of the three being Jordan Evans? He has been really impressive on trial.
I agree. I'm not sure he would be classed as the midfielder/striker though, he was left back first half and left midfield second half last night at the game. This midfielder/striker has been compared to Rooney to add competition apparently.

We had a young Dutch defender, Danni Deelen, on trial last night. Apparently another one recommended by one of our technical director's contacts. Looked decent, although hard to judge given the gap in class between the sides.

Jordan Evans would be a good signing for any League Two side. Will be stand out for someone to sign him. Very promising.

Ousmane Fane is apparently on trial at Oldham. I really hope he stays as he could vital for us next season.

I see Graham Stack has left Barnet. Would be a great signing for a Conference club. Will still have plenty to give at 34.

Some guy has come onto our forum and claimed that one of today's signings is going to be Tyler Harvey from Plymouth. He seems pretty certain.

The 3 are rumoured to be ex Tranmere striker Michael Higdon on a short term deal, youngster George McDonagh from Forest on loan and Harvey on a years contract

Higdon? Hmmmmm on a short term deal I suppose it's worth it. Didn't sound like he had a great time of it at Tranmere.

McDonagh sounds interesting and Harvey sounds very good indeed (particularly as a permanent signing, maybe worth a few years)

I think Harvey would be a good addition at this level - I had hoped he'd stay local in Devon and join us though!
