I have it on good authority that Matt Rhead has the largest wage of any player to ever play at this level.
A) How do you know what he earns ?
B) How do you know what anybody else has ear'nt/earns ?

I wouldn't believe all you hear.

I heard it from a mate down the pub*, who knows a few agents.

*Disclaimer It was quite busy so I might have misheard him. He might have said waist instead of wage.

Oh good, Budget Talk. I specialise in this subject.

Woking's visitors tomorrow, Wrexham, have more than double our budget.

Woking's players are all amateurs who play for the love of the game.

That and a chance to put themselves in the shop window and get themselves a move to local giants like Aldershot and big spending AFC AFC Town of Farnborough AFC.

While we're on the subject, our budget was revealed as being 600k the other day. As low as it's ever been since we've been down here I'd wager and it definitely shows.

Exactly why many people said if you didn't go up that season you finished 2nd you would be down here a long time.

Not sure we'll quite be that high, but £650k-£700k is probably about right.

You ought to try it below that!

What was is prior to that in the same Trust set-up? The problem is, as soon as things dip on the pitch it's a vicious circle and difficult to get out of.
I was adding on 50k ish from the crowdfunder Luke to the original budget which was around 700k.

Tranmere have apparently triggered Louis Almond's release clause. Looks like our season is going from bad to worse!

So is ours if brabin is allowed to spend money it means he is staying.

He said signings on the radio today during his weekly excuses interview ..... Expect more ... Millar just to annoy the imps

I must admit allowing a manager to spend money does rather suggest he is staying, which am sure will irk Tranmere fans. But a mini precedent was set earlier in the year when Eastleigh let their gaffer sign a player from Northampton I think it was, on the afternoon we played them, then when we beat them he was sacked!
Maybe given Brabin extra funds could be a good omen?

Be careful what you wish for though bigluke a lot of tranmere supporters me included wouldnt mind your manager popping over to manage us, although nigel adkins seems to be the fans favorite as he is a Birkenhead lad who played for us and has a proven track record....... Whether he would drop this low is another question although he is unemployed at the moment.

But your dead right luke they did, and replaced him with a manager we sacked over a one pound bet whilst we were in l1....

Eastleigh will be promoted under him this year ive absolutely no doubt in my mind about that.

Well he won't be signing Millar or Miller for that matter now.

put in 7 days notice for a lower league striker last Friday - so expecting a signing tomorrow - not sure who - but looks like one for the future - but we said that about Richie Bennett and Moussa Diarra who both made the non league paper team of the week this week, and Jordan Williams....
A central Defensive signing is also on the cards - maybe Richie Sutton now Brabin's left Tranmere??
Also signed Harrison Panayiotou today (see signings thread) who turned down Borussia Dortmund, Real Salt Lake, Coventry and Yeovil to sign for us.

I suspect you'd have been more likely to get Sutton if Brabin had stayed as I'm sure there was a rumour they'd fallen out. Hopefully we wait until the new manager's appointed and has proper look at what we've got before we start releasing/signing anyone though.

We've put in a 7 day approach for Westfields striker Jamie Molyneux, however apparently Solihull have also put in 7 days.

How long till someone takes a punt on David Tarpey at Maidenhead. Been scoring goals at Step 2 for a number of years now and has 15 already this season including a treble today.

we have a behind closed doors friendly against Fleettwood this week (for fringe players and trialist's mainly) - including a "towering" centre half - rumoured to be another 6'5" French player who has impressed in training...
