Seeing Nick Anderton linked with Swansea, maybe one we should have kept hold of.

Then again, Swansea signed Jamie Proctor for their development squad so maybe that's not a great gauge of talent.

The stats indicate that Oliver can score goals, but this is his level.

Could do a lot worse than Oliver.
Good striker who will get 15+ goals, mainly with head, works hard and quick.Only let down he blasts every shot has hard as possible.
He was absolutely awful in league but then again McNamara was manager.when he came back after loan to Notts county he was brilliant under Mills.

From our website today

"We have more deals to complete so we have more additions to come and I know the fans are very excited about the players we have and I’m sure about who is next to arrive!”

Our manager John McDermott dangling a carrot there...... a certain Mr Bradley Wood I wonder....

It's alright, because apparently he was crap for Aldershot on his six-month loan spell a few years back...
He's a very good player - clearly not Premiership, but definitely better than some you'll find in League One. But that rumour was in The Sun anyway, so it's clearly bollocks.

Bradford were the ones that had a bid turned down in January, and having sold their left-back this summer, it probably points to it being them that put a bid in again the other week.

Used to annoy the shit out of me, that.

He only scores goals with his head and his hold-up play wasn't great here. Hard worker, though. You'd always get a shift out of him.

Wrexham must have a good budget this year.we signed Oliver on a 3 year contract and on very good money for us it would be good to get rid.

Rumour on our forum is that Barnet are interested in Craig Ross. We've offered him a deal but we've signed Jalal so Ross will be on his way. Don't think he gets on with Askey too well either who dropped him and picked Scott Flinders (the worst keeper I've ever seen at the club) for the majority of the season.

Came here as a winger but much more comfortable in the middle now. Box to box type who works hard, likeable lad as well.

Not the strongest physically and we've seemingly signed James ahead of him though. Gave an interview last week (just before we signed James) saying he wanted to move here permanently. I'd have certainly had him back myself.

We've got two new signings coming in this afternoon - a midfielder and a defender. Both have been playing football league, but were on loan in this division last season. Should be decent for us.

Summerfield? (only because he fits that description)

Unlikely, but we had two in Tom Champion and Riccardo Calder .

Danny Whitehead/Luke Summerfield could be the midfielder.

Portsmouth's Tom Davies being linked with a move to Prenton park!
Never heard of him, but has apparently had spells at Alfreton, Southport and Lincoln.

Nah, it's none of the above. Asa Hall from Cheltenham (York last season) and Dan Jones from Grimsby (Gateshead and Fylde last season).

They should do a job for us.

Signed as a one month loan/trial type from Fleetwood but only played 45 minutes.

That was 2 or so years ago I think when Moyses was in charge.

We're now out of the running to sign Cody MacDonald from Gillingham. McMahon flew back halfway through his family holiday to hold talks with him, and he's decided to join somebody else (Wimbledon apparently). If Kedwell and McLean re-sign then we won't need another striker anyway.

Cody MacDonald to AFCW confirmed. Rejected our offer which was more than them, fair play to him for that. Just wanted to stay in the league.

Putting 2 and 2 together, but think we may be in for Staunton who has rejected an offer at Daggers. He plays full back right? If not, then ignore me. ;)

We are in for a full back and winger.

I would love to be able to tell you all about how Dan Jones performed here but I don't think I've actually seen him play one minute, just looked him up and it says he played 3 games for us but I don't remember being at any of em.

Apparently a midfielder signing tomorrow and a striker next week. Both players have agreed deals.

Based on the calibre of our other signings I'm excited to see who is joining us for our promotion year.

Based on the success rate of the rumours about who we are signing, I'm expecting at least one of those players to be someone who hasn't been linked with us.

Exciting
