Based on the calibre of our other signings I'm excited to see who is joining us for our promotion year.

Rob Sinclair is the name mentioned more than most. These Matt Rhead rumours need to stop too, we can't have him joining after all I've said about him.

After two seasons of battling for survival on the final day of the National League season Ferguson is looking to Guiseley making a better fist of things in the coming season and said that the first priority was staying up but in a more comfortable manner than the last two seasons.

“We have given our manager Adam Lockwood a competitive budget that will hopefully enable us to achieve our aim. In terms of players Adam has worked hard to retain many of last season’s squad and we have already signed up more than double the amount of players we had at this time last season.

“Adam has done a fantastic job. He and his assistant Dave Penney have identified the key players they want and there are some big names in the pipeline but there are ongoing negotiations, some involving compensation, and supporters will have to be patient before all is revealed.”

Mate of mine who works in a local estate agents had him phone up and arrange a viewing on a property today so looks like he's set to sign for us, 2 year deal apparently, which seems a bit long for a 35 year old who hasn't played a huge amount of football recently.

I still think we should have kept him on, to be honest, though I guess he probably wanted to leave to get more game time.
A very useful player to have on the bench, but maybe just a bit anonymous on the few occasions he got a start.

Excellent keeper, was unfairly pushed out at our place by Martin Allen so that he could bring fucking Graham Stack to the club (useless bottling keeper) and only weeks after Clarke's dad had died. Shameful from our club.. Great all-round keeper, no weaknesses.
