It’s so weird how little activity has actually happened so far in this league. I swear it’s usually a lot busier. I miss Allen extensively telling us how much he knows about a player. It feels strange not having to build the whole squad in the summer this time..

rumours picking speed that Jason Oswell will be signing for Chester. surprising but he works as a physio in the hospital in Chester so makes sense. i think this was the reason he chose Stockport the season just gone?

similar to the great Damien Reeves, his combined current income makes it hard to go full time unless he gets a comparative wage.

It's the reason Morley and Johnson wanted us to revert back to part time, to be able to pick up the best in that sphere rather than the worst full time players.

If we do sign Oswell it'll still be a while, two or three lined up in other positions first. Likely to pick up pace with signings again next week.

update on Oswell

“Johnson and Morley have spoken to Stockport County striker Oswell about a potential switch to the Deva, but Johnson admits the National League North’s Player of the Year is now likely to move to a full-time club, with Morecambe, Port Vale, Hartlepool and Wrexham all chasing his signature.”

“He’s made no secret that he wants to go full-time and he’s got Football League and National League clubs look at him, so he’s going to get bigger and better offers.”

Torquay local rag thinks we are signing Asa Hall, most recently of Barrow... Whats he like Barrow fans?

Was Barrow that bad that he's decided he needs to join a club at the opposite end of the country to them?

Who is it you support? You'll need to be able to match his £1,200 p/w wages.

Personally, I thought he was a good player, able to control the pace of a game and could read the game well. Also looked decent at centre back.

Others hate him though cos he doesn't charge around like a psychopath.

What can you horrible non-leaguers tell me about Boreham Wood keeper Grant Smith? We're supposed to be after him.

Adam Virgo thinks he's the best keeper in the league. But he also thinks every Borehamwood player is the best in their position in the league. MOTWYW.

Anyone who did what he did for that Norwood goal needs avoiding at all costs. He was basically showing off and trying a flashy dramatic save at Wembley and got it all wrong.

That's was a real LOL moment as was Tom Champion completely failing to track Norwood when the cross for his goal came in.

Bit of a move up for him. He’s had a lethal couple of seasons at Hendon and is a fast, skilful and direct striker. It will be interesting to see if he can bridge the two level jump in standards. His strike partner at Hendon, Nathaniel George, signed for League 2 Crawley.

Saw he was linked with QPR in January, I wonder if the then QPR assistant Curtis Fleming has recommended him to his good mate Craig Hignett, this is probably the most out of left field signing going if it happens.

Sounds like Devante Rodney is on his way to Salford, I think he has something to offer, totally raw and often doesn't resemble a footballer but he has genuine pace and power, maybe with a bit of decent coaching he'll turn out to be a good one.

He was an easy target for abuse at Pools when we had experienced pro's letting the team down, I reckon this one is gonna come back and bite us.

Deffo agree, wanted to keep him as i really do think he will come good. His pace and power is gunna come to the fore soon as he doesnt use his attributes yet but once he does he will be quality. Even half a decent coach could get that out of him.

Any of the Solihull squad good enough for Yates to bring with him d'ya think?

Liam Daly got some good reviews last season, we probably need a couple of new centre halves.

Sam Ricketts has said Manny Smith & Shaun Pearson are going nowhere after being linked with Walsall. He has been down London way the last few days and have offers out for players which might give the cheek rumour more behind it

Fylde fans, what was Luke Burke like for you guys? Hes coming to Scotland on trial with us. Capable of playing a level up?

He was pretty good yeah. I’d of liked to have kept him but he didn’t get in the team towards the end. Far from being one of our better players but steady enough.

Sounds like we might be losing jack Muldoon to Harrogate. Be a big loss for us that so hopefully it doesn’t happen

Why would you let him go to Harrogate? Makes little to no sense.

They probably aren't letting him - he's out of contract I think?

He's a Scunthorpe lad, to it's probably down to location. I don't think he was too keen to move as far as he did last season either.

Good player? I've done some reading on him and he sounds a perfect replacement for Danny Whitehead.
In my opinion, he is bloody excellent. Assist king and loves a long distance goal. He got injured for a few months last pre-season and then never got back in. There was a few rumours why but then when he was sold back to Solihull in January, the majority of fans were very annoyed. Hope that helps!
