He had been training with Lincoln
Yes I saw that they had offered him a deal, however they couldn't guarantee him first team football due to already having quite a few strikers on the books!

Happy that we've gone away from our policy of signing 'been there and done it' type strikers over the last few years as Ebanks-Blake, Ched Evans and Chris O'Grady were all useless and will have cost the club far more £££'s than Lee Shaw will!

Didn't get to the point of offering him a deal but as you say, he'd been told that he would find it very tough to dislodge Green, Rhead, Akinde or Andrade so his playing time wouldn't be as much as he wanted and that he'd probably get a 1+1 deal at best initially. A case of we can take a punt on you but on our terms.

He understandably wanted more security having to leave his job, which is why he's 2+1 with you.

Had a tough couple of games to impress here, though - Norwich and Sheffield Wednesday!

we had Jahquil Hill play for us in a friendly last night. Goalkeeper with Rushall Athletic. he probably was playing just to cover our two porcelain keepers who were both rested for this game

we also had an unknown right back playing for us

Lad in work is a Bury fan says he has been told that Salford are going for their Keeper, Joe Murphy and Henderson from Rochdale a striker. I've heard of Murphy and he'd be a brilliant keeper at this level

Henderson is a quality player too. I wish I was surprised that he might be going to Salford unfortunately.

He certainly looked a decent player when 'Dale were playing Spurs in the FA Cup last season!
This is getting silly. At this rate the National League trophy ought to be handed to Salford before the season has started.

But the question is can he do it on Braintree’s battle of the Somme surface re-enactment on a warm Tuesday evening in August?

Did you not see Rochdale's pitch last season?!

No I’m just a sad non league bastard these days, clubs of the might and standing of Rochdale are now seen as the equivalent of elite clubs and L1 is basically the Champions League.

Pretty sure I read that he was meant to be playing for Hereford last night but instead turned up for us instead. Now it would be a really odd decision if he decided to hinder his own chances of earning a contract somewhere else by playing for a team that are not going to offer him one.

The Barrow connection, so wouldn’t surprise me. Always rated him, but not sure how often he’d play as apparently both of our centre halves are staying..

Grand's been on trial with us and we're due to sign a centre back tomorrow....

Surprised at this, because Grand looked past it around 18 months before he left us!

He's not going to come to us to sit on the bench. If he signs for us I'd be worried.

We conceded a shed loads of goals though so I’m probably not a good judge on this. Being good enough for our defence is a different thing to Wrexham’s defence. His legs have gone but he didn’t get caught out much because he reads the game well. Also very good on the ball

Ling is a better all round player than Caprice, it's not even close and I always preferred Judd anyway. Unless Ling and Judd have injured each other in a home made wrestling video gone wrong it's never going to happen.

Any idea where this originates? Orient weren’t that keen to keep Caprice, Buxton can’t play wing-back and we’ve no other right-backs on the books, though Sutton and Gumbs(when fit) have played there.

Not a signing for us but if Leicester buy Danny Ward from Liverpool we get a hefty wedge from the sell on. Not Salford levels of money but maybe we can then compete with Ebbsfleet or BWOOD.

I assume Tranmerewhite has seen Jake Caprice play in a friendly and is now starting a desperate whisper campaign to try and get rid of him.

Looks set to go for something like £10m-12m and we've got at least 10% sell on. I imagine there'll be an EGM called on what we do with it.

I'd put the lot on Salford winning the league. Add Bayern Munich, Juventus and TNS to win theirs too just to bump it up a bit.

No. He quite simply told my friend at Warrington pre season friendly that was what was happening.

Assuming you’re debt free some ground renovations wouldn’t go amiss. Not worth splashing it all on a promotion bid when you already have a squad and Salford will still have a bigger budget anyway.

You also lied about Danny Rowe being a tranmere player or did your friend tell you that as well. We’ve rejected a second bid of 200k for him from your lot

No. Fylde accepted a bid, Rowe agreed terms. Another club then came in and offered a higher amount and I’m not sure what happened since then but believe we’ve decided not to match that higher figure.

Totally debt free, but unfortunately ground free too. It used to belong to the club, but was surgically removed by two shady chairman; the first unsuccessfully, and the second as financial reparations for his mate Dean Saunders spending his millions on the likes of Angelos Tsiaklis and Mansour Assoumani.

The university own it at the moment, and we have a long lease, so I would imagine talk will turn to buying it back. I also imagine the price will have gone up 50% since news of Danny Ward's transfer surfaced.

Wealthy chairman eh? Who'd have 'em?

We never had a bid accepted for Rowe. That's a fact.
