Liam Mcalinden played upfront for us today on trial...

Anyone know much about him, I'm sure he was decent for Exeter last season so surprised he'd drop to non league tbh

We lost 2-1 to a strong Bolton side. Sounds like we had Mark Roberts on trial. Anyone know much about him?

There’s a really good player in there, for sure. In his first season he only start around 10 games and was used off the bench quite a bit but scored a respectable seven goals.

Last season he was given regular starts to begin with and most City fans thought he’d get a guaranteed 10-15 goals. Despite a bright start he struggled to score goals and lost his place. Then Tisdale hardly used him during the final 15-20 games.

His plus points are his movement, he’s quite an intelligent player and seems to have a good eye for goal when played through the middle. His bad points are he lacks a physical presence and he really needs to become more aggressive and assertive in his play. These aspects he can definitely improve on and if he does he will become a decent striker.

Overall, I think he’d be a decent signing for you.

Salford are trying to sign Adam Rooney a striker from the SPL and are offering him 5k a week.

What does this shout more? That Salford are super bankrolled or that the Scottish League is really Tinpot?

Don’t know what you’re talking about. Salford are operating within their annual turnover. All fair and above board.

I’m sure they’re operating to a turnover that’s bottom-third National League level...

At least if Salford get promoted you won’t have to worry about any more bankrolled tinpot clubs trying to buy the league.

Until Billericay ride into town next season.
I think and hope that Tamplin FC implode before that can happen.

I genuinely cannot see them going up this year. Some iffy signings (e.g. Moses Emmanuel) before you factor in the unrest Tamplin brings.

Andy Firth, from Liverpool U23s, is believed to be one of two triallist keepers in our squad, with Steve Arnold currently on trial at Shrewsbury. Think Firth may have been at Chester last season?

He was pretty useless, seemed a good signing on paper, but he never really kicked on and was full of mistakes. Complete knobhead too, tried to fight our fans after the loss at Ebbsfleet then got his contract terminated after that. I think there was a few other disciplinary issues behind the scenes too. No idea how he played at St Albans after he left us.

We've just signed striker Lee Shaw from Grantham Town, apparently he's scored bucket loads in the lower leagues so we'll see if he can cut it at this level! Anyone heard of him before??

Also hearing it's very likely that Liam Mcalinden will be offered a deal to join us and I'd be happy with a front 3 of Ugwu, Mcalinden and Shaw

We signed him after he'd been out for nearly a year with an ACL injury.

He was thrown in at the deep end a bit, especially when we lost both George Elokobi and Josh Coulson to injury and he was expected to be a dominate centre back alongside one of our youngsters, but sadly he didn't seem to get to grips with the style of the National League and he was very poor for us. I remember Halifax's Tom Denton really dominating him when they beat us 3-0 last September.

His last game for us saw him sent off for us for a professional foul, although it wasn't totally his fault.

As mentioned squared up to a few of our fans as well after we lost 2-1 at Ebbsfleet, silly boy.

Not sure how he got on at St.Albans. Maybe Waddock can get more out of him.

We had Hyuga Tanner on trial today. Looked a very good footballer. Been at Blackburn and Bolton but seems to have been frozen out due to squad restrictions, and ended up at Bala in Wales. Would snap him up straight away.

Callum Saunders looked white though, and would think he won't get a contract here.

Sendles-White is fine. Was rushed back when clearly unfit and not sharp, but showed enough in glimpses that he's a perfectly adequate defender at this level, also pretty good technically for this level. Worth a punt for sure.
