Any Torquay fans, what's Dan Lavercombe like? Looking like he'll be our number one to start the season.

Not good enough for this level, came back on loan last season and looked like a boy in a mans game, conceding a goal from the opposing keeper’s goal kick against Solihull was a particular highlight.

Bodes well then, cheers. Think we'll still plan to look for a more experienced keeper when our new manager realises Joel Dixon (our injured first choice) isn't up to much either.

He should be a steady signing, for what l can remember, he was a decent player but come the last few games of the season he didn't get a look in for the starting XI. NL is about his level, so was surprised when he rocked up for Bath City's first PSF.

Not a signing for us but if Leicester buy Danny Ward from Liverpool we get a hefty wedge from the sell on. Not Salford levels of money but maybe we can then compete with Ebbsfleet or BWOOD.
Seems that the deal is now completed. Look out guys, we’re about to be unbearable :£

Alfreton have former Doncaster Rovers midfielder Harry Middleton on trial who has over 60 games in League One/Two. Looked very good today.

Looks set to go for something like £10m-12m and we've got at least 10% sell on. I imagine there'll be an EGM called on what we do with it.

I'd put the lot on Salford winning the league. Add Bayern Munich, Juventus and TNS to win theirs too just to bump it up a bit.
Might as well save it up for next season. No point competing with Salford.

We won't be competing this season anyway, our squad is not playoff material. The plan should be to get a firmer hold over the ground IMO, in whatever capacity that is.

He played and scored in a friendly for us a week or two ago, played well by all accounts
Interesting thanks. Seems he had a short loan spell at FC Halifax last season so thats probably how Billy Heath became aware. Fingers crossed we sign him.

Sounds like Jack Munns is getting paid up/released from his contract at Pools, supposedly one of our highest earners, had his fair share of injury and health problems but he never impressed me the few times he got a run out, dunno how he did so well with Cheltenham, signs for Pools and turns to dog shit.

I’d have him at town in a heartbeat. Was class for Cheltenham and produced the best individual performance I’ve seen from an opposition player against town when his Cheltenham team rocked up to the shay and spanked us 1-7.

Craig Disley and Cieron Keane have been told they will not feature in pre season by Billy Heath and are free to find other clubs.

Yes. Been pretty much common knowledge for the fans all pre season. Halifax lad and gives our young squad a much needed injection of experience. The trialists are Nathan Clarke, Raheem Hanley, Mark Roberts and Jonathan Edwards and by all accounts they have all already signed but there’s a delay in us being able to announce them for some reason. Should be announced by August 1st.

Clarkey couldn’t run 4 years ago, bless him. Shocked that he hasn’t retired yet. He’ll head the ball all day long, though.

McNulty has never been able to run and he's dominated this division.

E10rifle, what are your thoughts on Macauley Bonne?

Rumours our end are that he maybe Gary Johnson's number 1 target now Mo Eisa has gone. What sort of player is he, and how much is he going to cost?

He’s ready for the League already. Only young, but his all-round play is levels above the Conference and he’s a competent finisher. Think he’ll end up having a good career in League One. Doubt he’ll leave us for somewhere as pitiful as Cheltenham, but you’ll be stumping up the thick end of £350,000 if you want him now. He’d be best advised to wait until January when a desperate League One club will take a chance on him.

Mike Williamson is training with us at the moment and we are looking to offer him a one year deal according to our local paper

Expect him in a Cheltenham shirt by Friday then...

Henderson is a quality player too. I wish I was surprised that he might be going to Salford unfortunately.
Can't see Hendo going to Salford. He seems happy with us (has said several times that he wants to spend the rest of his career with us), gets on with Keith Hill, is under contract, and we aren't short of money. (Particularly if/when WBA sell Craig Dawson, we have 15% sell on).

If he wants to go, we probably wouldn't stand in his way if Sal£ord offered 1 million plus.

Bury do need to get some high earners off their books, though...
