Looks as if Shaun Tuton is Spennymoor bound. Done well in his two games for us, one of which was against Spennymoor themselves.

He's only non-contract with us.

Gazumped by a team with about a third of our support. Shame that I think Tuton would have made a difference.

Cestrians should be very happy to have Shaun Tuton out of their lives. Not a person with the attitude you'd want.

I’m ok with it myself, certainly did well in those two games and seemed to link up well with Dudley, but I’m aware of his past and jumping ship again so quickly after we gave him a chance rather sums him up. I wouldn’t want us to offer him what Spennymoor are even if we could to be honest.

I think regardless of everything else, when you have players so quick to jump neither side is left with much longing.

Spennymoor's problem now, and I'm pretty sure he will be a "problem" at some point despite having it in him to tear through Conf North defences.

Chesterfield have received an approach from Dover Athletic for George Smith.

The 22-year-old former Barnsley left-back joined the Spireites from Northampton Town at the end of January, but the Derbyshire Times report that Dover want to sign him.

Chesterfield boss Martin Allen said:

“We’ve had an approach from Dover for George Smith,” he said. “I’ll speak to him (Wednesday) morning about that.”

There is apparently no movement on either Joe Anyon or Jordan Sinnott, however, another two who are transfer-listed.

Looks like we’re announcing a striker signing in the near future. My nutsack is ready to empty at the news, as he is bound to be the next Kevin Campbell.

with Raul Correia leaving the Jordan Sinnott to Barrow rumours have started to resurface - following his release earlier today by Chesterfield

I understand Chesterfield have made at least one bid for Alfreton Town targetman Tom Denton. Impressed against the #Spireites in pre-season, has started the season very well (six goals in first seven)

Watched him week in and week out at Worksop Town for two seasons and saw him score a load of goals, win headers in both boxes and work his socks off. He's part-time at present. Chesterfield interest is very serious.

Cannot say i am surprised by this given Chesterfields struggles to score and Tom`s start to the campaign.

However I would be extremely surprised if we were to sell at this point. He is the focal point to our side and we seem to have rediscovered some ambition at board level. Would like to think Wayne would politely decline the offer. Interesting to see whats happens.

Denton is an absolute donkey.

Imagine the football Chesterfield would play with him in the side. It's sad to see a Brother in such a state.

Love Denton for his contribution to our club over two years but he’s realistically a relegation battling striker in this league. Awesome in the air of course and handy for defensive set pieces. Get crosses into him and he’ll score however build up play wise he’s a nightmare. Slowest player I’ve probably ever seen play for town so means you can’t press from the front effectively. His hold up play isn’t amazing for his size. He’s pretty much useless in a lone striker role in this league however if you put him in a two up front and get a quick striker playing off him then that could be effective as that worked for us when he partnered up with Adam Morgan. Sadly heath didn’t like Morgan and dropped him. I imagine Denton would be decent up front with Ugwu or Shaw playing off him, however for a club of Chesterfield’s size to be considering bidding a fee for a player who was released by Halifax just a few months ago is a tad embarrassing considering there are better target men at this level. One thing I will say is that he would be Allen’s dream man. Works his arse off, nice bloke and a tall bean pole to hoof to. I would love to see this move go through as I like Denton and want to see him get a chance at a massive club. Would certainly be interesting.

Chesterfield's standards have dropped very quickly. Allen obviously not happy with Ugwu (if he's playing), who I thought would suit Allen-ball.

How's Shaw doing, Chesterfield fans?

You want to see the football we are playing currently. We haven't scored a goal in 6 games.

Ugwu needs a goal but is garbage. Shaw started for the first time on Sat but probably isn't the solution to our problems either

Has he done ok, though? Or looked out of his depth?

Looks lively, if a little lacking in quality.

We've transfer listed Ugwu today which says a lot, and are rumoured to be bringing in Aryibi from Forest, who bought him off us 2 years ago

He was good at this level when he played for Woking...what's happened to him??
When I've seen him, I haven't noticed one thing that he does well to be honest. Maybe he hit a purple patch with Maidstone or perhaps we're just not playing him in the right way. Either way, I wouldn't be sad to see the back of him.

Terrorised ours in L1 (before he got himself sent off). I assume young Cash is ahead of him at Florist, so he needs game time...?
Unsurprisingly, he's said 'uh yea no thanks':lol:

Apparently according to the Torquay Herald Alfreton have extended Josh Gowling`s loan from Torquay for the whole season.

His Missus is up the duff and she lives in Grimsby so he wants to be closer for when she drops, he tried telling her originally that she had to move to Torquay once the baby was here and she told him in no uncertain terms to fuck off.
Hence his subsequent loan to Alfreton.
