Flowers needs to bomb Daly out the club quickly. By not doing so after Daly undermined him puts Flowers in a position of weakness amongst the other players and this is showing on the pitch.

Flowers is in danger of losing the dressing room (if he hasn’t already). Get Daly out, he’s lingering on because he thinks Flowers will be pushed first. This is a battle of power and Flowers has to win. Daly is no loss, he’s finished and he’s a trouble maker.

Done deal now. He was an odd signing for us in that we already had a lot of players in his position but Still, who went on a bonkers signing spree when he was in charge, gave him a 2 year deal, presumably off the back of banging in 27 goals for Staines the year before and 5 in 16 for a very poor Braintree at the start of the season.

It never worked out for him here. He was fine technically, but looked overweight and was completely ignored by Currie after Still left, and Currie wouldn't use him even when we've been desperately short of a proper centre forward for the past 9 months.

I saw him out on loan at Welling last season, and he looked unremarkable at NL South level. In county cup games he looked like he might be more effective playing slightly deeper despite his build. His first touch and passing are pretty good.

Like I said, better than Mullings and Panayiotou, but needs to get fit and fully motivated. Good opportunity for him given how much of a flop he was here, I was expecting him to go NL South.

Bristol Post has said that Saikou Janneh is due to be joining us on loan until January having recovered from his knee surgery sooner than expected.

If true would be a big boost for us as he scored 18 goals last season and we've lacked a strike partner for Jamie Reid as Duku hasn't really worked out so far. Was due to go on loan to Doncaster before it was found he needed surgery, so imagine he'll likely be going there or Newport (who he was also linked to) on loan in January.

Most of Still's signings for Maidstone are not standout players at NL South level, not surprised to see some of them move on.

On a side note, how on earth were an NL South club able to get a work permit for a non-EU player? A lot of Premier League clubs struggle with that.

No surprise that Jonny Edwards is one of them. Seems a nice lad but he was never going to be a good enough for a team like Maidstone. God knows why they gave us a fee for him.

Best game he had for us that I can recall was away at Warrington in the FA Cup. That's probably about his level.

With Edwards since he's been here he's either been injured or just doesn't look match fit.....seems a nice enough fella and going by social media he's good with the fans, but ability wise hes simply not good enough from what I've seen.

Clovis works his socks off wherever he goes and was very popular here but he's so technically limited.

When I saw Kamdjo rock up in pre-season he looked every inch the donkey I've always seen him as. Imagine my surprise then, when the next time I went to see the Stones there he was in central midfield, looking the least sunday league I've ever seen him. Still, surely much better available for the money.

From what I heard he had been playing in France so that must of helped the whole process. Either way it was a total waste of time considering he only made 1 or 2 appearances off the bench.

I wouldn't pay too much attention, the same site has linked Luton to Jamie Reid because:

"Given Reid’s height and aerial prowess, the striker could prove to be an ideal candidate to partner Collins in the Luton frontline, with Town boss Graeme Jones favouring a largely direct style of play this season."

Reid is 5' 9" has famously only ever scored one goal with his head!

Maybe they were thinking of Matt Rhead?
