Whenever a player is linked with a host of clubs it always strikes me as an agent touting his name around. Would be very surprised if we were in for him.

What summed him up for me was after we beat FGR at Wembley he was in the changing room gloating on Twitter about the great goal he scored even though they lost, didn’t give a shit that his team had lost the game and missed out on promotion, players like that need avoiding like the plague IMO.

Martin Allen refused to give him a title winner's medal in 2015. He only made a few appearances, but our loanees got them, as did our unused sub keeper and even our coach driver. Says it all really.

We have supposedly made bids for Yeovils Courtney Duffus and Torquays Jamie Reid.

Be afraid everyone - Boreham Wood I've heard are likely to sign James Alabi from us.....................

I knew it would be Alabi Season soon.

He does absolutely stink of Boreham Wood to be fair.

Reid is worth a punt for any league club. He could either be an Andre Gray type or could be on loan at Ebbsfleet this time next year after scoring 2 in 20 League matches.

We’ve agreed a fee with Scunthorpe for Kyle Wootton on a permanent deal, just a case of trying to agree personal terms now I guess.

Would be very happy with that, he’s been great. Excellent hold up and link player who’s on course to get 15+ goals over a season as well. Still young enough to improve a lot and would be fine in League Two were we to go up.

It would be refreshingly unlike us and a great sign for the Danes to just decide someone we’ve got on loan is good and go and sign them permanently without any fuss at all.

Still think he can add a few goals to his game, but his hold up play is extremely good.

Very surprised we are getting a fee, will be very little. Delighted for Kyle that he seems to be hitting his stride, hope he continues to do well. A really great lad with a lot of good qualities but never seemed to put it all together here. Hope he bags loads more this season

Imagine it’ll be a nominal one yeah, but would make sense for us to sort it now rather than risk waiting until the summer when there’s likely to be a lot more interest. If he keeps improving at the same rate as he has since joining us it’ll prove to be a really good investment.

It's a very good signing even if he doesn't improve a notch more. Great age, and the type of player I believe is hard to come by. Big man, mobile, good in air , great hold up play and scores a fair few.
Delighted

I don't want to be that guy but the deal has been done between the two clubs but...
He has had offers from League 2 clubs and he is, I guess, mulling it over now.
Hopefully it doesn't hamper his performance on tomorrow.

Pretty much agree with Ardley on it - he’s improved a huge amount since his first two or three games and seems settled and is scoring goals for the first time in his career. It looks like the best move for everyone involved, but then we would say that. ;)

Yeah I would agree with that.

He would need the right kind of environment to prosper, he was pretty dreadful under the succession of chancers we had managing us over the last few years but has been absolutely fantastic from day one under Johnson.

Confidence player who would need to hit the ground running I think.

Duffus looked decent against us on New Years Day.

We’re losing Salford loanee Tom Walker as he’s chasing the money and joining Fylde where they have a billion attacking midfielders already.

Yes I am bitter.

Signed 2 1/2 year deal. Can't see him being first team as yet, but Williams is out so he may get a few from the bench

Someone on our forum seems to think Matt McClure is off to Dover.

Makes sense considering he's out of contract next week & John Still has mentioned other clubs are trying to sign him.

Hess quoted today
said that one of those potential signings would be a permanent transfer, whilst the other two would be on loan from Football League clubs, one of which is a team in the Premier League.

“I can’t give you any names, but three [strikers we’ve lined up],” he said.

“[We can’t sign] all three of them. One’s experienced and would be a permanent, the other two are young and they’d be loans from League clubs.

“One’s at a Premier League club, one’s at a League Two club and one’s playing in the Scottish League. We’ve even been going into the Scottish market as well. That’s how far afield we look.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see Ibby Akanbi & Saidou Khan leave us as well.

Saidou has been attracting attention from League clubs ever since his ''wonder'' goal against Blackpool & Akanbi is scoring goals at this level so some National league team will at least be interested.

Rumour that we might be interested in Barrow’s Scott Quigley.

Who's we? Plymouth?

Can't see it - he's on a long contract, probably our highest earner and has never really cut it in league football.

The S*n are reporting that Millwall are interested in Myles Hippolyte. I'd much rather keep him but it would be hard to turn down a Championship club.
