Charlie Seaman who we've had on trial has seemingly turned down a contract with Doncaster Rovers. Unless they were proper low-balling him this is a very strange move on his part.

I think the rumour came from a photo at the Stockport game yesterday? If so despite not playing Cook was at Field Mill last night.

False Rumour mate.

Our current squad needs to gel more. We don't need new signings.

yeah by “rumour” I should caveat that someone has papped a player being photographed which means it’s almost certainly a new signing and the said person happens to look a lot like Cook.

Would be an incredible signing but why would Mansfield let him go.

And it turns out to be a 17-year-old academy keeper signing his first ever contract. Boooo

Andy Cook would cost six figures right now in the transfer fee alone, then he’s on probably north of 3k p/w that you’ll have to stump up for a 2 year deal minimum lol.

i don't think that would put Stockport off - they paid us £75,000 for John Rooney and apparently paid him a lot more than he was on with us.

The Andy Cook sighting turned out to be a 17 year old keeper signing a new contract.

We don't need any new players, we have a good squad that is finding its feet with some more promsing young players to come through as the season goes on.

No disrespect to some teams in this league, I'm not going to mention them because the Wrexham and Hartlepool fans might take it the wrong way but we need to build the club on a long term structural dynamic.

Keates loves Andy Cook more than anyone in the world. He'll be asking Uncle Ryan for an advance to get this one done if Cook is available, ideally before he gets sacked.

And the picture doesn't even look like Cook.

Rumours on our forum we might be signing Rhys Murphy from Yeovil, assuming if correct the news about McCallum will be a bad. Had a knee scan yesterday.

Why are there rumours doing the rounds that Dagenham are going to buy Rhys Murphy off us?

Have you got a couple of hundred grand going spare?
Let’s be honest it’s 100k at most, yes he’s a good goalscorer and an important player for us. But he’s 30 and into the final year of his contract and will have little to no resale value for Dagenham. In this climate if 75-100k was offered I don’t think there’s any way we’d turn it down. Still, I hope it’s bollocks.

If we effectively swap Quigley for Murphy I’d say it’s a masterstroke, even if we part with a few quid. Problem Yeovil have is second season down the parachute payments disappear and the club have to reset the balance, that is not easy and a huge hole in finance obviously excluding the current climate too so might be cheaper than you think. If it ever happens as it’s just a rumour.

Yes, we have very little money apparently so anything resembling a decent amount would be tempting. The trouble is we'd be left with Quigley and no other strikers for 6 weeks while Duffus recovers from injury.

Our turnover (pre covid) was about £2m which includes lots of non-football activity, the owners are said to be boosting the budget by around 10-20% on top of that. The principle owner himself said we would have a top 7/8 budget, not exactly getting value for money at the moment though is he.

I'd heard strong rumours they were Going For It too.
