Stockport County.
Interested to see what other business clubs think they need before the season? Less than 3 weeks away now and it hasn’t seemed that busy for the ‘big’ clubs so I’m presuming there’s more to come?

We’ve made loads of signings obviously, still at least 2 strikers short though IMO
We've kept the best bits from a squad that finished third and added 4 or 5 promising additions to it in Quigley, Whitfield, Barclay (all but confirmed), Fish and Ross. All in areas we needed strengthening. If there's anything left for us, it's that there is a weakness in central midfield. That is something most fans agree on.

But we have a squad of 22/23 so without departure's I think we could be set for the start. I could see us looking at the PL/Fl youth loan market as their windows come to a close and they all see what they have and haven't got. and who they think need experience.

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Yeah, definitely Shamir Mullins, now converted to CB. Good luck…

Parkinson has indicated he wants at least 4 or 5 players in to challenge at the top. Probably a couple of MF and another CB are needed. We have 5 trialists at the club so it be all of them we sign or someone else that's not been mentioned

We need a couple in midfield and a couple of Centre backs too, as a minimum.

We also have to contend with a transfer window so need to make sure we are suitably covered as a result of that.

We've not pursued triallists Andre Wright and Keba Sherif and the manager sounded hopeful of us signing a forward player this week, no names though.

Ah Nathan Cameron, one of the ‘Macc 3’ along with Harry Smith and Fatty Durrell who were instrumental in our relegation to the NL despite not being paid for six months.

Bastards!

Have it on good authority that Charles Vernam will be back with us this week. Probably the number 7 shirt filled, just wonder who will be our number 9.

He impressed me in our PSF against Bradford midweek with his willingness to ‘get at’ players, get shots away and make things happen. Any particular reason why Bradford would be willing to let him go?

Parkinson said he wants 4 or 5 more. We definitely need a CM or 2 and a couple of CB's so I'd imagine we will sign a few this week or next

Yeah, sorry about that. But look at all the fun you've been able to have down here. Just think, you'd never have had the pleasure of B2TF if it wasn't for us.

I'm guessing this week will see us sign Dean Furman & Hiram Boateng. A centre back as well.

That would be incredible.

Boateng, Furman and Davies midfield, with Young,Akpan,Jarvis to compete.

PP wants 5 more so I’d guess -

Boateng
Furman
Akpan
New CB
New wing back

Is there any suggestion Boateng is at Wrexham other than a pic that looks a bit like him?

There is, actually.

Really? I thought the rumour comes from here when Vanni suggested the picture at Burnley (which presumably was Akpan?) was Boateng.

Two people reckon they saw Boateng in the Car park when they were getting season tickets, but I'm not sure if they actually did or if they just hoped they did.

The rumours I've seen have come from the sort of people who were long hinting about other signings we made. Not sure where they're getting their info from, but I'd call it more concrete than the other stuff I've seen.

That being said, they could just be going off the same hearsay you're referring to, and I've never really known them to be ITKs before now.

Thats interesting. As the person who first posted his name on RP (after Vanni suggested it might look a bit like him on here) I'm just a bit anxious the rumour has taken a life of its own with no basis behind it.

There’s no basis to it at all IMO. It was mentioned on here and then people have believed what they wanted to believe. Not saying we can’t get him here as we can’t rule anything out these days, but it’s unlikely.

Sounds like us and Tshimanga. Our young fans on Twitter banged on about it so much it took on a life of its own and our local reporter ending up asking Burchnall about it after a friendly last week.

He kind of denied any interest but because he knew how to pronounce his name correctly this convinced some fans we definitely *were* in for him.

I could be wrong, but I'm 80% sure I read cryptic clues about him on Twitter before it ended up on here.

That's why I think there could be something to it.

Be interesting to see what names people come up with for this forward we’re bringing in this week. Burchnall definitely seemed to have a great proper grin on his face talking about it.

Let's see who else we can convince people on RP we are signing.
Let's start a rumour about us signing John Akinde and send Southend into meltdown.

Phil Brown might be forced to give up his house to bring him in.
