No one at Eastleigh is talking about getting to the Championship.
I've absolutely no doubt that Mr Donadl will oneday leave Eastleigh, but it wont be this year, next year, or the year after.
FWIW, I think most clubs at this level could not guarantee their owner will be around in 3 years time either, so that's a nonsense statement to make.
As i have said on here before, our natural level is only one level below this one (Conf South) where we were operating from since its formation about 10 years ago, so dropping back one level, really isn't a big deal. Its a bit like Grimsby who were once in the Championship dropping back to L1, but of course, you have dropped back much further than that. Where as even if we we lose our main money man, we are not likely to slip back 3 levels into the Wessex league are we. So it's rather pitiful that you can say something like that about Eastleigh, when your own club has fallen like a stone in recent times. if we did, you would all laugh like hell and say we got what we deserved, yet no one laughs at Grimsby for falling much much further...I suggest you look a bit closer to home before you start rubbishing a club that hasn't even fallen 1 step back yet. But trust me, when and if we do, i'll look for you under that rock your club fell under.

Ok mate :cool1:
Silly me, I never considered that Grimsby had dropped 3 levels of the pyramid. That rock I'm under must be pretty big. Get real, Eastleigh without money is a club going nowhere shown by they're 9 ( as you suggest in your post) stay in the Conf South.
Can I also ask which clubs enquired about Richard Hill? I'm intrigued as he isn't a good manager.

Guess you don't know any Scunthorpe fans then...!
And on our local papers website Lincoln fans were pissing themselves when we were dumped down here, "we will never play you again" etc, until they decided they missed us too much and joined us in hell!!

Yes he's a poor manager isn't he, when he came in we were one place off the bottom of the Conf south. He started the job in Nov and by the end of the year we had finished in the play offs, losing to Dover on penalties in the semi final. The following year we won the league with 2 games to spare. Then the following year we finished 4th in the Conference National and lose to Grimsby in the Semi final play off.
yeh, his record is so poor, i just cant understand why we still have him at the club, he's shit isn't he?.
You clueless Idiot.
I'm not at liberty to say who the 2 clubs were.

Rob Taylor was in our team photo but the club have said even though we can't afford him discussions are ongoing, if he does sign it will probably be like Kevin Nicholson's deal last season where he signed on non-contract terms. Honestly from watching him play in a few friendlies I'm not entirely sure he's good enough but we'll see.

That happens vice versa, too. No doubt you lot were all chuffed when we lost 5 PO's in a row!

No one laughs at Grimsby? suggest you're not looking hard enough and also the fact we were punching above our weight in the championship, our natural level is top half lge 2/bottom half lge 1, so in reality we are only really a level or two below were we should be.

Any Mariner knows if the Greg Taylor rumours are true? Don't think he's a league player, but good enough for a top conference side like Grimsby, imo.

Not seen his name mentioned anywhere, but not really read the fishy properly in a few weeks so maybe he has been mentioned on there?

Think Hurst was only really looking for another striker, but Robertson has been out most of pre-season and is doubtful to be ready for the weekend, so maybe there is something in it. Though I doubt he would be starting straight away as Tait and East have been doing well at full backs in pre-season, guess he would be more of another versatile defender to add competition in those positions if it is true.

I think I first saw this on fb, then a couple of days later it cropped up on our forum, so it could be nothing. Still, I expect Taylor to move on, as I don't think he''ll be a starter this year, with all the new players brought in.

We've confirmed the signings of James Rowe and JJ Hooper.

Going out, Rhys Lovett has signed for Tiverton, Zack Kotwica has gone to Cirencester and Jack Deaman has gone to Telford. All on loan.

Its a player from a Championship club.
Personally speaking, i don't think we need him as we already have a very good starting player in this position.
We need a CH and until we get one, we are going to keep on conceding goals.

Yes revealed on Radio Solent that its to be Dan Harding. Released by Nottingham Forest when his contract was up in July, but was playing for Millwall on loan from them last season.
As far as i'm aware, he doesn't play CH.
He lives in Eastleigh, so despite having an offer from Scunthorpe Utd, has decided to play for us instead.
...yeh yeh yeh of course we must be paying him £7k a week.

Eastleigh Fan I've got your back, money definitely isn't a factor in the move I'm sure most Championship footballers would drop down to the Conference and reject the chance of playing League 1 football purely because of a vision...oh wait :£:£:£

Potentially a quality signing. Eastleigh might actually have enough about them to win enough matches 4-3, 5-3, 6-3, etc. to win the league at this rate.

Money? Get real. Who here hasn't dreamed of playing for Eastleigh one day? pulling on that famous *Google * blue shirt and running out onto the hallowed *google* Ten Acres pitch.

It's like a real life fairy story.

Harding rejected Portsmouth for Eastleigh

MUST be the vision that persuaded him to sign for such a big club

Although I consider myself retiring from League football that doesn’t mean I am not fully committed to Eastleigh. I will continue to give them 100 per cent week in week out and remain focused on the task in hand. Which is as it’s been at every club I have been at, promotion.

“It just means now I get a bit more time to focus on other projects which I have never had time to do before.”

Are Eastleigh part time?

No it's because he lives in Eastleigh so he doesn't have to travel. That's why he's signed for them, did you not know? That is the ONLY reason.

To be fair his reason for rejecting them was because of his time at Saints.
