Strong rumours circulating that we have signed Chris Eagles and Rich Cawley of the South London Press has tweeted it.

Will await confirmation from the club first though.

Eagles confirmed.

Does anyone know why he actually left Blackpool, was it over his attitude?

Very true.

Pleased with the signing, only until the end of the season so even if his attitude is poor, we don't have to deal with it for long.

Think Eagles still is more than good enough for this league, even Roger Johnson is a good defender when his head is in the right place.

"I'm chomping at the bit. I've obviously played against Blackpool before, the fans are brilliant with the drum at home, so I'll be looking forward to that."

We've signed Luke Varney on loan from Blackburn. Feel free to tell me how useless he is.

We've signed Gary Taylor Fletcher from Leicester on loan. Nobody is particularly enthralled.

That's a good signing. For a fat lad, his hold up play and general distribution have always really impressed me.

Fat, 50 year old c***

We shall see. I was surprised to find that he's only 33 as he seems to have been around for ever.
Plenty of decent strikers have been a bit tubby. He certainly can't be worse than Stefan Maierhofer.

Jesus Christ! I thought the trading standards people had sorted out Maierhofer being described as a striker. WTF were you thinking about, re-signing him? Did one of your floodlight pylons fail an HSE test? I can understand him being used as part of the lighting.

Didn't sign in the Summer because he wanted a Premier League club...

He certainly hasn't gotten any better since he left you. On the other hand, he is very entertaining to watch.

We've signed Alou Diarra until the end of the season, another decent signing for us.

I remember going to Blackburn away in the Prem, we were 3-0 down so left just before the 90th minute to get ahead of the traffic ... and I missed it ... I missed one of the great moments in the last 10 years of Wolverhampton Wanderers .. I missed THE Steffen Maierhofer goal ... that header from a corner to make it 3-1 .. His only goal for us, I was distraught.

In other news were linked with James Wilson from Man Utd. Cant see his dropping from Utd's bench to Div 1 football though. Don't think we need him anyway we seemed to have learnt how to score now!

He scored the other day and it was a sight to behold. Huddersfield fuck about with it in their 6 yard box before attempting to clear. Stefan, having lost interest in football, is viciously struck by the attempted clearance. The ball rebounds into the net and Stefan finally (for the one and only time in the match) sets off on a lung bursting run to go and sit down on our bench in some weird celebration skit about being unhappy about the quality of the soft furnishings in the accommodation we had provided him (I'm not even joking).

In the subsequent interview, despite the 3-1 loss, Stefan is beside himself as 'Ollie' has agreed to buy him a new Sofa as a result of him scoring a goal.

Brilliant, seems like he hasn't changed a bit :fish:

Never seen someone as bad as him in the air though, You would have thought it'd be the only good part about his game with him being borderline 7ft tall and everything.

It'll need to be a fucking big sofa. That guy stretches out for Broadchurch, he's going to be across much of his neighbours kitchenette.

Good luck with him. Is your gaffer consider pairing him up with another one of our legendary strikers, Tomasz Frankowski? He's been retired three years now but that hasn't affected his goal-scoring rate one bit.

Very good signing if true. Doubt we could make it permanent, but we could do a lot worse then push the boat out and try to tie up him, Toral and Pritch.

We really could do with another striker on loan

Seems Knockeart turned down the move to Ipswich.

Probably didn't want to spend three months sitting on the bench.

Reckon we might have a chance of signing Toral on a perm, but no chance of Pritchard. He will be playing for Spurs next season imo, he's that good.
