I don't think i've heard any Reading fan claim Pog to be a 30+ Championship striker.

Even in the Prem you could see he was a creator more than a finisher. We never really found him a decent strike partner, and it was clear that he didn't suit our style of football (hoof it up to the striker). We're now starting to play football more to his suiting, but he's 31, almost 32 and past his prime.

Don't even want to think how much he has cost us as a club financially.. Will probably go down as a cult legend though. Goodbye BFR.

think it was some uneducated lout once you got relegated and kept hold of him, i'm sure someone said 30 goals easily

probably Hooped Wazard

Joey Barton's signed for Burnley. Had that been on the cards? Seems surprising, Dyche doesn't often go for 'names' does he?

At least it'll stop people going on about him coming here. Bit of an odd fit but then again, seemed like the Championship was the best he was going to do, and a recently relegated team capable of giving him some decent wages seems to work.

We've signed Emyr Huws and Mustafa Carayol on season long loans. Very impressed with these tbh.

Jordi Hiwula gone to Wigan on loan, looked far from ready for us.

Also still linked with Nathan Byrne. Hope we pull that off.

Seen earlier we're favourites to sign Kevin Nolan since his release. Would fit the bill really well with our current injury problems, would love it if he signed.

Joey Barton signs for Burnley before the weekend then - looks like they're really hard off for money.

Poor Sean Dyche, the blokes working off a shoe-string. What a hero.

Can imagine he'd be good in the championship, brings plenty of experience and while we struggle for players in CM we need someone else there. Certainly prefer him over Butterfield for 5M + (Not saying he is a bad player, but not worth it for that much) considering he would be free.

That's a strange one isn't it? Letting him go out on loan already? Looked that much out of his depth?

I'd be skeptical about Nolan, having just seen him on Saturday. Either he's not fit, or he's knackered.

He's been like that for years Mark, even when he was scoring 15 in the Championship with Newcastle. His all round game is a liability but has an annoyingly good habit of being in the right place at the right time, which is fine if the other 10 in the side are good enough to carry him for 90 minutes.

Well he hasnt even been making the matchday squad. Came on as sub against Notts County and looks like a fish out of water. Obviously has talent but with the chance of Carayol I don't blame the swap loan for Huws.

Dyche will be taking a risk with Barton as he can disrupt the dressing room if things aren't going well.

Ipswich have signed Polish defender Piotr Malarczyk from Korona Kielce for a fee of around £9000. I'm sure no one's ever heard of him, but for that money it's hardly a big risk.

Looks like a deal for Marco Djuricin, a striker we almost got in January, is back on. Flying into London as we speak.

Lets be fair, Joey Barton is hypocritical, scouse shithouse bastard and a complete wanker... but he is a great signing for the Dingles, arguably the best midfielder in this league now.

Now, come on Daz. I've always been a big fan of Pav, he will be missed.

To be fair i always thought he was decent. Just saying that some fans referred to him as SFR. Due to his wages some fans were always more critical of him.

Could be a busy couple of days for us. Djuricin is apparently having a medical today, Woods is apparently discussing personal terms, while there are also strong rumours around Bradshaw, Pritchard and Forshaw.

Would like to see a CB among that list to replace Bjelland, but if we pull 3 of those off I'll be very very happy.

Add to that a £1.5m bid accepted for Elvis Manu, a Feyenoord winger. Apparently also Brighton and Watford interested.

We've ended our interest in Forestieri. Basically weren't gonna hang around waiting on an answer whilst he waited for better options so we've moved on to other targets.

Woods is apparently discussing personal terms, .
Really .................................. How much do you think Brentford would be prepared to pay/
according to Preston fans they seem to think they can get him for 600k, but I think you will all need to treble it to get him before the window closes as Shrewsbury are in talks to extend his contract so he does not go for peanuts after January!

Ipswich have signed Australian winger Tommy Oar on a free transfer, should be another good addition to the squad.
