Rotherham have signed Shay Facey on loan until the end of the season.
The Man City defender is said to be highly regarded there and fits in with Neil Redfearn's plan of trying to bring in young, pacey players.
I wish the lad well and hope he can fill the RB spot that has been a big problem this season.

Rowett said that Gray and his agent were insistent on a buyout clause when he signed a new contract last summer.

For all of his movement and trickery, he is only really let down by his final ball with just one goal this season and one assist. I would hope that we can bring in a couple of good players now to replace one who has flattered to deceive, albeit with massive potential. It will be interesting to see what level he is at in 3 or 4 years time.

I think it was you that I was talking about him before with Guapo, he was worrying me in our match, until I realised he was actually just really quick but not really doing anything. Can't judge him on that though as the only game I have seen him play. Football manager likes him though, so therefore I'd happily back him!

Seems odd that it would be that low when they turned down £5m for him from Bournemouth last year

It was a win/win for Gray and his agent. He had a year left on his contract and was insistent that unless the club agreed to a buyout clause in his new deal with other add-ons, he would run his contract down and leave at the end of the 2015/16 season. Player power outdoes the club.

The only two I could see us getting would be Bradshaw or Henry. I would bet on us signing no one from you this window though.

Sawyers is most likely I'd say. Henry is off to one of the big Premier league Clubs. Spurs have opened talks but United and Arsenal are also 'very keen' if you read the London press. No disrespect, but he's a once in a few decade kind of player - he's off to a premier league club when he leaves.

I don't rant and rave ever about players really, but he's the best prospect I've ever seen at Walsall. 2 years better and already better than Scott Dann was in their respective positions. I'll be amazed if he never makes an England squad.

Just FWIW - and as strange as it sounds, he would be cheapest and of the 3 is the most likely to be able to step in to be a Championship regular and he was Smith's pet project - even when he was having an atrocious run of form he would be the first name on Smith's team sheet.
