Not the first time Feeney and Pitman have linked up, they were a great pair for us in their younger days (in League Two)

We've signed a German on a pre contract deal and are about to seal another from the continent too.

Wägner starting his team..

Bristol City looking at taking Shaun MacDonald on loan.
Unlike Tomlin, Macca is a proper, good all round midfielder (not just round shaped).

Tomlin's one of the most technically gifted players I've ever seen in a City shirt, so if McDonald is held in high regard down there I'd happily take him.

We will happily take Tomlin off you. I would do some pretty nasty shit to get him here next season. Technically the best player I've seen down the gate. Can't say I know a lot about MaCDonald.

Can we keep Tomlin? Can we? Can we?
How good would he be if he DID shift those few extra pounds he's carrying? Great player and he seems to be loving it at the Gate.
How much Mark and any idea what wages he's on?
The worry if little Lee is recruiting another midfielder is that Korey's injury is probably more serious than we suspected. :(

Starting to think we won't see him again this season. Thankfully we've done a good job without him, should stay up in spite of that

Inclined to agree CH. At least it keeps him out of the limelight so he should still be with us next season. Fair play to Marlon Pack who has really stepped his game up in Koreys' absence, he's certainly proved me wrong as I didn't think he could do it.

Macca is a bit bit more of a grafter, old school box to box midfielder. Taller than most, wins headers and tackles, also spots a pass, as I say does a bit of everything. I've no idea why we don't see more of him, because IMHO he's better than our other backup midfielder Eunan O'Kane.

Regarding Tomlin, clearly a good Championship player with lots of talent. Only thing that's stop him here is that he needs to be the main man. He needs to have a side built around him, the managers' arm around his shoulder, he needs a little love. City can give him that role and he's not surprisingly doing well.

We tried to fit him into a squad of several players competing for his position, tried to rotate him in and out of the side and bring the best out of him through competition. He made it clear he wasn't happy with that role, and we aren't about to build our side around him. So it's never going get the best out of him here.

We screwed up signing a player we didn't understand and who's temperament doesn't fit. Cut our losses and run, City seems to work well for him, it'll be wise for all parties to do a deal in the summer. We paid something like £3m, I'd imagine if City can make a deal easy, take his wages on and pay us half that back we'll be happy.

Sounds good Mark and you've described just what seems to be happening with Tomlin at City. What sort of ££ would you guess he's on?

I think he's been decent all season and didn't deserve some of the stick he recieved but yeah he's definitely stepped it up a notch this last month or 2

Wages I can only take a stab, high teens or low 20s per week. Press speculation was that Boro paid him 14 or 15k a week and he'll have got an increase of some sort signing for us.

We appreciate it's a guess bud. We might have an issue then as I can't see us paying £20K+. I would be delighted to be proven wrong but that would open a whole new can of worms if we paid one player that sort of money.

You pay for that extra quality. I'd seriously question our ambition if Lansdown doesn't get the cheque book out for him - he was worth 2 points on his own at Fulham, that's why you pay the extra money for these top quality players in this division.

£20k a week and I think we can negotiate, we can comply easier with FFP this year with the revenue coming from the stadium.

I think it will depend how much LJ wants to change the squad in the summer, if he feels he can largely work with what he's got with a couple of signings then we can probably justify paying a bit more for the players we bring in, however if LJ wants to make several signings then I'd imagine we'd have to be stricter with the budget.

Arguing who has the sexier ginger, freckled man playing for their football club.

Better than talking about Alex Revell I suppose.
