Looks like there might be something in the Ivan Cavaleiro rumours, his missus has supposedly put on twitters he's joining us on a season long loan turning down Wolves. Don't know much about him apart from he was very highly rated at Benfica hence Monaco shelling out £10M for him.

Subtly? He's started a thread  He seems a bit of an attention seeker though. Very dramatic at times.

He is a good player, but will then pull a shit performance out of nowhere.
Loves a tackle, and is a red card waiting to happen at times.

There is often a reason why a player who transferred for 8 figures is ending up at a Championship club.

We found out the hard way with Royston Drenthe and Ola John. Both nothing more than average at this level.

I think he's been injury hit for the last year or so could be wrong though, might want to send him out on a confidence building season?

He didn't give anything away at all, just started a thread. Bit of a tease.

Don't get me wrong would love him here, just an observation. Seing him flying into a tackle is nearly as good as watching a goal. A dying art these days.

This. (Just saw it City Red and White lmao meltdown incoming)

Also he really did pick his games to play not something that City need.
He is another one like he who must not be named that need to be left in last season

Glenn Murray to Brighton. Quality signing.

First touch and speed of a bloody oil tanker. Huge let down here. The least a self confessed target man should do is trap and hold a ball. The ball hits him and goes off in totally random directions.

But maybe someone else can get the best out of him.

Michael McGovern has had offers from us and Bristol City allegedly. Not fussed where he goes. I'm happy with Jussi but at the same time, Nicholls needs to be as far away from the first team as possible so another keeper would be welcomed.

I'm assuming you read the same article as I did, and it says he turned down Southampton because he wants to be first choice.. I don't think he would be first choice over o'donnel here, and I'm assuming as he was your third choice when he was with you McGovern wouldn't be your first choice either?

Weird. His hold up play at Brighton (and Palace from the painful number of times I saw him for them) was utterly flawless at times, we've not had a player who comes close since.

That said, I'll approach the signing with cautious optimism. He's a Zamora replacement essentially, and I can't say he's not a clear upgrade with regards to age, fitness and recent scoring pedigree (in this division at least).

A section of our fans have been continually calling for his return for years now, which I've never fully got on board with, and must look even more baffling to the outsider given he defected to Palace and got them promoted at our expense, but there you go. Still lives in the area apparently with his Brighton missus, so maybe he was always destined to return.

Yes he still lives down your way and it was a sign that perhaps he never saw his move to us as preferable or long term when he continued to commute (not a nice drive) or live in hotels, rather than look to rent somewhere to live near here.

Don't think his heart was entirely in it for us, perhaps explains some odd performances. I've no doubt he'll come good a) in the Champ and b) somewhere he actually might want to be.

Murray is a good signing for Brighton, but I think Steven Fletcher is a better target man striker.

Murray is excellent at this level.

Linked with Gouffran from Newcastle.

Both I think about as good as any Championship club could expect to get without paying a sizeable transfer fee. Although steep wages I'd guess, and we'll probably have to fork out a loan fee of sorts (season-long apparently). Be interesting to see who scores more. Still awaiting actual confirmation on the Murray deal, of course..

Really hope that this comes to fruition for all parties. He'll run like the clappers for you but for us he offered very little at all in the final third. I reckon he'd do well at his level though but he's just quite far down in the pecking order with the similar players we have. Also I can't think of any match day squads that he got in to under Rafa.

I was hoping Fletcher would want to come back to us, fans loved him. Doubt we could offer the same financial package Sheff Wed are offering him.

Yep same article. I'm very happy for Jussi to be our 1st choice but it really wouldn't surprise me if we signed McGovern and played him. Our hands are tied as we have a really poor 2nd choice keeper (Nicholls) so someone needs to come in really.

Diego De Girolamo is one of the trialists with us, from Sheffield United.

Been offered a one year deal with an option of a second. Sounds promising, he's been watched by clubs like Juventus and supposedly has bags of ability.

Can't say I'd heard of him until I got told a minute ago.

A United fan told me he's actually a bit crap and thinks he's better than he is. They loaned him out to York a couple of times think he did okay there, worth a gamble.

Bit shocked, we offered a low value deal back in March, he's average

Hearing our chairman has got further investment from his family, and the Thai Union Group, would mean we are only out financed by Villa and the Barcodes.

It's being reported in the press that he's going to join Chesterfield, so we'll have to see if it's definitely true, but he must have something about him if he's being watched by clubs like Juventus, and even if you've offered him a deal.

If that's true about the added investment then I can't wait to see who we sign for cash.
