Not looking forward to playing QPR next season now JFH is putting his stamp on the team. Really confuses me how his teams are so boring and built solely on clean sheets when he was such a prolific striker as a player. His Burton team came to us, put 10 men behind the ball and nicked a goal on the counter with 15 minutes left. Be arsed with his QPR team doing exactly the same to us in August. Have they actually signed anyone that isn't a defender yet this summer?

Jack O'Connell any Brentford/Blackburn fans?
Hoping it's only a loan myself - he's not good enough for our starting XI with the options we have (we are just a bit blessed at CB at the moment) but clearly has talent and will be a championship CB one day soon. Hopefully we'll get a good fee, he's got potential and time on his contract.

Good news at Leeds didn't last long then. Taylor been avoiding contract negotiations for the last year, and Cook going to Bournemouth for £6m.

Lewis Cook is utterly perfect for us. And at 6m, is decent value.
Medical tomorrow so reports go.

I assume the 'few' means it'd be permanent, hope so going of the comments on here!

Day started off so well for Leeds as well with two impressive signings, be a big blow for them to lose Cook but with that money coming in it's hardly doom and gloom.

Letting our best players' contracts run down and then selling them has worked out really well for us in the past.

Maybe not, but he's replaceable unless of course Cellino forsaw this happening, and that's why you've just spent £3M on Roofe.

Said we need a proven goalscorer to avoid relegation this season.

Sounds like we're about to sign a 25 year old with 18 goals in 121 games in Ligue 2.

I don't see how he's replaceable though? Which top-end Championship player will sign for us?

There we have it France in the final, the goal at the end of the second half changed the game massively and France were far better second half playing on the counter. Germany will be gutted was a great chance for another tournament win but they can't win them all. :shifty:

I think Portugal V France will be a better final to be honest, should be a closer game and despite Portugal being uninspiring there tactics have been effective, and with Ronaldo in their side they always have a chance.
Wrong thread I think mate

Great signing for Leeds United imo.

Look after him, and play him just behind the front man, and you Leeds Fans will be in for a treat.

Downside about our takeover is that we aren't bringing anyone in until the deal is completed, whilst everyone else is signing up players. Being the 2nd richest club in the country we are going to get shafted on anyone we do buy too since the prices will be inflated.

If the prices are inflated who cares?
Your owner will probably find it down the back of the sofa.

Silvestri on his way out as expected. Suspect we'll go and sign Bridcutt now Cook's going.

Jesus Gamez eventually confirmed. Think Hanley is likely now with only the percentage owed to his previous Club being the issue.

How dare you! He has signed Ariel Borysiuk who is young and capped 22 times by Poland. I mean, he is a defensive midfielder but he isnt a defender!

We signed Washington and Nasser El Khayati last January though, they are both attacking players. We are going to be playing our young winger Petrasso more often than not as well. I have no doubt we are after another winger and striker though. He doesnt want us playing 11 behind the ball, he wants us to be pressing high up the field.

Rotherham suppoosedly in for Jake Forster-Caskey who we had on loan last season. Will be a fantastic signing for them, superb player.

Ipswich keen to sign experienced Burnley winger Michael Kightly (30), whose first-team chances have been limited at Turf Moor for the last two seasons.

East Anglian Daily Times says Mick McCarthy would try to negotiate a "low" fee for Kightly, who has a year left on his contract, but that wages could still be a stumbling block over any deal.

Meanwhile, Burnley are reported to be one of a number of clubs willing to pay at least £5 million for Leeds full-back Charlie Taylor, with West Brom leading the chase.

Leon Osman keeps springing up. Wouldn't be surprised to get him and Bridcutt in.

Aston Villa Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini.

https://www.avfc.co.uk/News/2016/07/08/gollini-arrives

Gollini, 21, arrives from Hellas Verona and has penned a four-year deal.

The highly-rated Italian U21 shot-stopper has now linked up with Roberto Di Matteo’s squad as they build up their fitness levels at a training camp in Austria.

Yeah looks like he might be heading this way and a permanent deal aswel apparently, seen him play few times for England u21s and he looks a steady enough player, really hoping we pull this one off. Also heard a rumour today that you've bidded 500k for Clarke-Harris plus add ons, hope this aint true because i think he as real potential to be worth alot more than that if he can add little improvements in certain areas to his game.

Yeah it'd be a good move for Jake, looked to have huge potential when he first broke through at Albion (age 17) but never really developed as expected. Still young though, and seemed to get on well in his loan last season.

If he can nail down a specific midfield role at Rotherham and play week in, week out there's chance he may deliver on that early promise, so I hope we at least insert a hefty sell-on.

I think that bid for JCH is a load of bollocks myself, can't see us bidding £500K on anybody.

Forster-Caskey will be great for you, one of the only positive things about last season. I'm certain we would have signed him if we stayed up. Bloody class.
