Your last statement is a bit of an exaggeration! I'm pretty sure there are quite a few sides neither Flint nor Mawson would start for. For one, Mawson wouldn't get past Dean or Bjelland into our team, and I'm not sure Flint would either. Mawson would struggle to get into the starting XI of half of this division. Flint is good but incredibly immobile and personally I'm quite happy to see him on the opposing players team sheet.Apparently some genuine truth in the Mawson link. Lansdown won't hesitate to invest in a young player, but I'm not sure where he'd fit in here. Magnusson didn't sign for £2.5m to sit on the bench and Flint's one of our best players.
I suppose you can never have enough good options, but Mawson and Flint are both good enough to be starting in any side in this division. Magnusson remains to be seen.
