Surprised you think this mate, 12 goals last season from what I believe was attacking midfield, just turned 20. Outstanding talent.
He's a striker, and a pig cnut bastard.

We had a bid of £1.2m rejected for Che Adams, apparently.

I had honestly never heard of him, quickly reading up on him sounds like a Demarai Gray type.

Aye, Sky just confirmed it. Sounds like he'll go somewhere considering the amount of teams interested.

Despite being 4 years younger Liam Moore has played more championship games than Aden Flint and represented his country at England under 21 level. What are we constituting as being a better player?

Also we haven't even signed him yet.

Come on, let's not.

I do think Moore will be alright for you, but you were saying about how dodgy Flint looked in a back three - Moore looked even worse.

I watched them both from last season, my judgment is that Flint's a better player. It doesn't mean that Moore won't be any good for you.

Play him in a back four and he could prove to be alright, he did well at Leicester when they were down here.

Big blow for you, that.

One of only a handful of clubs in The Championship that are probably going to be able to prise him away.

Yeah, he'd be a loss, but for the money we'll get for him which will be around £10m I'd more than trust our scouting network to get in a replacement.

Someone like Fraizer Campbell at Palace is out of favour, could probably get him in for 1/5th of what we'll get for Kodjia and will be able to pay his wages with ease with the amount of money we've recieved from the Kodjia sale. Our net spend will be negative if Kodjia goes, so I have no doubt it'll be heavily re-invested.

The problem is when a club like Villa come calling and the player knows it, it's difficult to keep them regardless of the bid.

TalkSport seem to be suggesting that you are holding out for around that amount.

Absolute bollocks. We quoted Derby double that, there's no chance he'll be going for that amount.

Player power could force the move through if he wants to go. I wouldn't blame him, a much bigger club with a better chance of promotion, but if he goes the money will suit all parties.

If the bid is £5M, it should be declined without any hesitation. My only concern is if Kodj has a release clause.
In the current bloated market, we should be looking for double that bid.
All that said, I would like to see JK stay with us.
EDIT: From the Villa forum..
'We have bid about 3 million for bristol city striker Jonathan Kodjia.
Last of the big spenders eh , , Bristol want 5 for him'

They can do one at either figure TBH. £3M is a piss take bid!

Villa would have quite a formidable forward line with Kodjia and Rudy Gestede, practically guaranteeing top six

Let's hope we can stop them having that lineup then. £3M / £5M is nowhere near enough. Luckily, we have a wealthy owner who will, hopefully, give the bid short shrift.

Benik Afobe went for 10m in January when prices are massively inflated. I wouldn't class Kodija in that category yet.

We'll keep him then Mark, quite happily!
That's got to be the figure we would be looking for or it makes our other business a bit of a waste of time.
