Aye, that McCormack deal is a bit pricey for my liking, from the dirty thirty age group in world football only Zlatan, Eto'o, Milito and Batistuta have cost more and all this for a guy who's never been promoted from the Championship. I'd of thought Villa would have went for someone younger with potential sell on value in case things went tit's up for that kind of money.

You can't really count Fletcher though, you got him on free due to his injury record, when healthier he went for £14 million, £6.5 & £3 million when first moving from Scotland.
