Possibly one of our other attacking midfield targets after Pritchard fell through. Read plenty of decent things about Dack but he's obviously unproven at this level - reckon he'd make the step up?

With ease.

No idea, it's been tweeted by a journalist now anyway. CARAW told me about it on Twitter. Will be big money if it's a permanent deal.
Same division we got Kodjia from and wasn't he player of the season? Reckon £2m or so, but given the Bolasie money could be in our reach.

News article on him I read said he's established in the Lens first team, would imagine it would be a permanent deal if that's the case.
Maybe not established, he's made around 10 appearances in the past 2 seasons though, 4 of which was in France's top division. He also plays for the England U19, having played for the U17's and the U18's. Wouldn't be a bad signing.

Guy at work is mates with Trippier's agent. Apparently there is interest from West Brom (perm), Newcastle (loan) and Villa (loan). They are the only two clubs who can come close to his £50k p/w wages!

Hull linked with a bid for Scott Hogan, supposedly £10m + add ons.

To be fair, in the games he's played for us he's averaging over 3 goals per 90 minutes not including penalties or free kicks. He clearly has something very special about him.

£8m would probably be fair, but considering how they keep trying to screw us over on transfers (Hull have a bit of history with us) and the fact it's so late in the window, he's our only half decent striker, and we know they are desperate for players, let's try to rinse them for £10-12m.

Seriously doubt we're after him now we've signed De Laet. Other positions are much bigger priorities now.

We're close to signing Yedlin so that rules us out on Trippier. Janmaat going to Watford for £7.5mil.

Christ mate, you said we should be valuing Kodjia at £5-6m last month, but you want £8m for Hogan?

Double standards.

If Brentford get 10m for Hogan then I'll expect the same price when we come to sell Grigg. We've had a second Paterson bid rejected, seemingly now indicating that we'll sign him on a pre contract in January instead. Feel like both teams are playing a game of who blinks first.

£8m for Hogan, from a club like fuckin Brentford, lol!

if they get that (not a chance ffs) it makes a mockery of the £1.5m we got for Joey, and I'd want about £87m for Beckford ffs

Wouldn't half mind that, think we've got a 25% Grigg sell-on clause.

We've now netted £9.5m from the Andre Gray transfer, with more to come if Burnley stay up this season and when they sell him. We got £6m for Tarkowski too - we're pretty good on the ol' transfer negotiation front these days. Which is a nice change...

10m is ridiculous but the difference between Garner and Grigg to Hogan is that he looks like he can score consistently in the championship. Garner hasn't and neithers Grigg yet.

Scott Hogan has scored 8 goals in 13 games in the Championship and 17 in 33 in League One.

Quite simply Kodija's record is nowehere near that. That's why Hogan is worth more, plus he's English.

How many is he on already btw?

So after 13 games his value has plummeted from £750k to £8m+? We've already turned down £10m for Kodjia, so what's Hogan worth in your eyes Alex?

On the same amount as £4m rated JCH, and less than the prolific £20m rated Jerry Yates.

Grigg and Garner don't belong in the same sentence. It's taken Grigg 4 games to score half of Garner's tally from last season. He'll be past it by the time we play you in September.

Not just 13 games. He's only played full 90 mins on a handful of occasions. His ratio isn't far off a goal every 30 mins during his time at Brentford.

That's not to day that Kodjia isn't worth a fuck load too, mind you. A lot of it depends on your recent negotiating performances when selling players and whether the player would force through a move. We were actually quite annoyed with the amount we received in the Tarkowski transfer as a result of him going on strike.

I'm not saying he isn't worth that to you, but it's quite cheeky for MagpieBee to suggest that Kodjia is only worth £5m, then slap that price tag on Hogan.

Yeah, you're very astute with your dealings, both incoming and outgoings, I wouldn't be surprised if either of us got a daft fee for either of them two.
