Grigg and Garner don't belong in the same sentence. It's taken Grigg 4 games to score half of Garner's tally from last season. He'll be past it by the time we play you in September.

We'll see, personally don't think either of them are championship standard as goalscorers. Garners all round game from what i've seen of Grigg is better though.

Grigg's done more in 4 games than Garner did in 4 months of Championship football. Rangers should be ashamed of themselves for paying 1.7m for him.

I'm not saying he isn't worth that to you, but it's quite cheeky for MagpieBee to suggest that Kodjia is only worth £5m, then slap that price tag on Hogan.

Yeah, you're very astute with your dealings, both incoming and outgoings, I wouldn't be surprised if either of us got a daft fee for either of them two.
I would stand by Kodija only being worth £5-6m. I would also suggest Hogan's price is inflated currently by his ridiculous run of form. If he'd scored at the same rate he did last season all year, he'd have got over 100 goals, by quite some margin.

Hogan's actual value will probably go down the longer we have him as there's no way he could keep it up, but given his ridiculous form at the moment (he scored about half the number of goals Kodija did all season in about 180 minutes) and the "added value" for him being English, I don't think valuing him at £7-8m is that out of the question.

Given how desperate Hull are, and because he is our only striker really at the moment, I'd want us to ask for more.

And you watched Garner how many times last season? 1.7m will be a bargain for Garner as he will score a shit load in the SPL. Will Grigg would not have scored any more than Garner did for us last season had he been in our team as we were set up defensively by Grayson to survive.

Yedlin through the door. Even if he turns out to be pants, I'm pleased that we're lining up replacements for outgoings (Janmaat).

2/3 years ago and we'd have sold him with no plan to replace and then wondered why we then had 3 registered defenders on the books.

So after 13 games his value has plummeted from £750k to £8m+? We've already turned down £10m for Kodjia, so what's Hogan worth in your eyes Alex?

On the same amount as £4m rated JCH, and less than the prolific £20m rated Jerry Yates.

Correct.

Hogan is worth £7-8m and Kodija £4m if that.

I said last season he'd be a one season wonder and it looks like yet again, I'll be right.

After 4 games your prediction is that kodjia is a one season wonder? Wow.

Given our strength in negotiating, how desperate and cashed up Hull are, I could actually see us getting north of £10m for Hogan. Is he worth that? Nope, but we don't want to lose him, don't desperately need the money and he has two years left on his contract, I think a combination of factors could see us get an awful lot of money for him. Although, he'd much better suit a side like Bournemouth than Hull.

Said it last season and having witnessed him twice, it's a safe prediction.
Id like to think I'm in a better position to judge, having watched him many more times than twice. Gray hasn't ever been impressive against us, he must be wank too. Along with the whole Rotherham squad.

We beat you 3-0 last year and drew 1-1.

Moore signing from Lens for £1.5m. Would be a boost to have him in the side for Saturday, don't fancy Mark Little facing Jack Grealish.

He was linked with Lyon last summer for 10 million euros so must have something about him.

Where did that figure come from? Haven't really been following the Twitter rumours recently

In the context of those bickering about Striker prices, can we remember that Andy Carroll was sold for £35 million once.

What a prospect Taylor Moore is.

He's played 9 games in the namby pamby French equivalent of this division. (Ligue 1 standard is shite for a top division).

So jealous, we've only signed Dominic Ball who's a better version of this 'french' wonder kid.

Might of guessed he would of been a shit signing in your view. Have you ever thought of taking a different career as a football scout?

We were actually quite annoyed with the amount we received in the Tarkowski transfer as a result of him going on strike.

Not done badly though have you, sold Tarkowski for £6 million and signed a better player in Egan for a fraction of that. Hope to god we've got a sell on fee negotiated there considering the fees you seem to be able to demand these days.

Where have the education standards of this once fine country eroded to? Kids over reliant on auto correct and text speak means we are becoming a nation of idiots, particularly it seems in the South West.

I wouldn't say that, I had to correct SERNWA recently on his choice of language so it seems the problem is in the north too.

Some rumours that we're about to bid £500k for Celtic defender Efe Ambrose..

Hope this is not true, but plenty of sources about. Seems ridiculous when we've just signed Moore and Blackett in the past week.

Taylor Moore confirmed, England U19's captain. Seems like decent business as at CB he's likely back up to Flint who can also play RB while Matthews is out. Three year contract, also a french speaker so helps more with Kodjia and Garita language barrier if one remains too.
