While Bentley and Egan will cost us some small fees, the only players we've signed have been out of contract or on loan.

MagpieBee I told you we'd laugh at £5-6m, £14m isn't quite what I expected though, though it's only £10m up front.

I'd have quoted your post, but apparently the right side of my screen isn't working on my phone.

£3.5mil for a 33 year old seems a bit extreme. Would rather us give Sholagol a ring.

Johnson's just said that the bid hasn't met Kodjia's valuation :pmsl:

Vydra confirmed.

Undisclosed, but thought to be £8m.

Decent player, hope he can re-create his form of 2/3 years ago.

The market's gone mad though. It's due to the crazy fees being paid in the PL, and the madness is filtering down to the Championship. Problem is, most teams in the Championship don't have the monies that teams in the PL do. We get good crowds, and have a lot of corporate and sponsorship deals in place, but we will still be in danger of breaching FFP unless we start to ship a few out.

Amazed all these teams can keep spending on all these players they don't need! Thought you guys were pretty well stocked up front?

£8m for Vydra also makes the fees Newcastle paid for Gayle and Ritchie look pretty cheap!

Are you likely to come again for Kodjia? Surely you'd be done over by FFP, given you spent £20m last summer as well?

Reports now saying £5m but McCarthy has confirmed Murphy is going to Newcastle

I think Pearson wants to stamp his own influence on the squad. Apart from James Wilson coming in on loan last week, we brought no one in over the summer.

There will be a few departures this week, I have no doubt. We have creative accountants who will ensure we meet FFP but expect some of Bent, Martin, Russell, Ince, Blackman to leave to balance the books.

How can they leave if no-one wants them?

Yeah, that could be a problem.

Looks like Fulham (and Wolves) want Martin though, and Sheff Wed were sniffing around Ince recently. And we turned down a large bid for Hendrick from Burnley a couple of weeks ago.

Any rumours of the fee for Jamie Paterson? We have a sell on, rumour is that it is 15%.

Achraf Lazaar will probably be confirmed on Monday, assuming he passed today's medical. £3mil fee the rumour.

Madness.

Didn't really want Vydra, don't want Kodija.. complete waste of money. Seems no lessons have been learned. Could understand the fee's last year for the players we brought in (on the back of their previous seasons) but these two, fucking madness.

Seems you haven't had a bid accepted anyway. Derby, Villa and three PL clubs want him. Cash in now.

The mighty Rams!!!
The fees being paid is surely unsustainable. Madness that we or anyone will pay a fee of that much! I'm falling out of love with football and Dcfc currently and this doesn't help.

Jeez, £14m for Kodjia and not met our valuation?!
Sounds like we are trying to absolutely rob whoever buys him.
However I have previously said (probably on OTIB) the later in the transfer window the more we should charge.

Pretty certain we've dropped our interest now, our sights are firmly set on Hernandez or Valencia.

The ITKs at West Ham seem certain Burke is joining us on an season long loan. They better bloody be right because we really are desperate for some quality at the back.

He's good though, would do well for any team in this division. Not sure you need him, mind, given your other strikers.

Denis Begovic signed as a goalkeeper for our under 18s. Brother of Asmir Begovic.

Kodjia is off to Hull, after matching our bid. Johnson claimed the valuation hadn't been met, but the truth seems to be that Derby weren't prepared to put up as much up front as Brizzle would have liked. Glad anyway, as I'm sure we can get someone far better for that money.

Vydra fee is ridiculous. Hope we get the Watford promotion season version, and not the Reading one.

Fulham after Chris Martin. Isn't going away. We are desperate for a goal scorer. We have nobody up front but Matt Smith and Cauley Woodrow who aren't good enough to replace half the goals we had last season with Dembele and McCormack

He'll go before Wednesday. 4 goals from open play since October 2015.

How do you think he would do for us. Not great?

Knowing our luck, he'd relocate his great form the moment he was to leave. I've been hopeful for what now feels like an eternity, but it's just not happening.
