No chance we're signing Marlon Pack, daft rumour.

Vermijl signing for £500k ffs

That's not a bad price for him in today's market.

Solid defender and he has a goal in him, some youngster on loan from a Prem side would most likely be the alternative which could be a disaster.

Atsu confirmed for Newcastle, loan deal with option to buy.

Very good signing I'd say, him and Ritchie on the wings is scary for this division...

Our interest apparently renewed in Kightly from Burnley, having previously thought it wasn't happening.

Aye I'm pretty damn happy about it but someone's said it already - it's only if he's fit.

Played about 4 games for Everton and didn't play at all for Bournemouth.

We're struggling to agree final fees for Ariyibi and McGeegan, in the right area but no final agreements yet. Chesterfield want more up front in the £800k fee, Luton want a little more than we're offering for McGeegan.

Sounds like the Ariyibi deal will go through along with Kaikai and Henry. McGeegan deal is much less likely to happen.

We've also been linked with a loan deal for Jerome Sinclair, we do need another striker but don't believe it's likely to happen this window.

Third bid rejected for Paterson at Hearts. Not sure why we still want to try for him if we're getting Nathan Byrne but there we go.

Looking forward to "plenty of good unattached players" being thrown around tomorrow. Yawn.

Guessing your buying Paterson to be a full back? Nathan Bryne to my knowledge has never played as a full back in a 4-4-2 (certainly not for Wolves anyway), although he's decent as a winger or wing-back in a 3-5-2 formation.

Caldwell likes playing 3 CBs with wing backs which is why signing Bryne makes sense. But that leaves no space in the team for Paterson. I don't see how we'd be able to fit them both in the same team. Think the big point is Paterson can sign for anyone on a pre contract in January where no doubt bigger clubs with more money will come in for him, so if we really want him it's now or never. He's training with Scotland now so if it does happen it'll be a late one!

Gustav Engvall confirmed, undisclosed amount however suspected £2.5m

Edit - Fee now reported closer to £2.5m, however not sure as wouldn't that be a club record?

Maybe 5 years ago.

Meanwhile, the Reach fee now being reported as £7m, my word Clive.

Only 30, I think he will be a good addition but i'll be massively fucked off if we only sign two defenders today while we're playing Doyle & Hugill up front.

Signed Ivan Cavaliero for 12m, breaking the club transfer record on a 5 year contract.

Absolutely ecstatic with that, he would walk into every side in this division, and most prem teams too.

Watched him for Portugal u21's last year and he was excellent. His club record is less impressive though, not sure he'd walk into most prem sides.

Was solid for Deportivo last season, used to watch them on the la liga show.

Joniesta officially confirmed on the season long loan. Cameron Stewart had his contract terminated by mutual consent.

+1 +1 :)

Rico Henry joins Brentford for an initial £1.5m in a deal that can rise all the way up to £5m. Meant to be a large sell on fee as well.

Surprised at the fee, seems incredibly high after the fees being talked about earlier by the clubs, especially if there is a sell on available afterwards too. Really like Henry and very happy with the signing, but got to imagine the add on clauses are quite unlikely!

WALSALL Football Club can today confirm that an agreement has been reached with Brentford Football Club for the sale of Rico Henry.

The club have agreed an initial fee of £1.5m for the 19-year old with a number of add-on clauses written into the deal which could see it rise to over £5m.

Rico moves to Griffin Park immediately and will receive further treatment on the troublesome shoulder injury that may require surgery and so will not be available for selection at present.

Very good deal for both clubs, happy we got that upfront. Another 500k after 50 appearances is one of the clauses I believe, so within a season he could earn us £2m, I know how highly Smith rated him at Walsall too, so unless he's terrible, which is unlikely, I can imagine him triggering that pretty quickly.

We've announced Henry on his own as there's an issue with Kaikai's medical, so that deal is now in doubt. Fees still to be agreed for all the other players we've been linked with / trying for.
