No chance we sell at £500k I reckon. We paid £175k for him ourselves 12 months ago with a decent sell-on due to Norwich too so the profit would be nowhere near enough to turn our heads. It was widely rumoured today that we had already turned down a bid of £750k for him and would only sell for silly money basically.

Best for all concerned if he stays where is to be frank - he's a fantastic scorer of goals from midfield and his all-round game is developing and he will definitely be a Championship player sooner rather than later, but right now his technique/passing/vision isn't good enough for the step up. Leave him where he is for a year, he'll be ready to step up and we'll be happy to sell as he'll be worth a lot more and we'll hopefully have got a promotion out of him (bit like what we did with Gray except we are in a stronger negotiating position on this one than back then).

I wouldn't worry. He was never on our list and at no point did we bid for him. Which is a shame as I think he's a very talented player.

BREAKING: Lucas Piazon joins #ffc on loan from Chelsea until January

Reading fans, should we expect much?
In a word, no.

Good technically, but too lightweight and struggles to track back. Therefore he played better when we were at home, as we had more of the ball. Didn't get much of a look in when we played away.

Loves a STELLA though.

Chris Martin on a permanent deal too. Very good window for Fulham but big mistake in letting Stearman go ;)

Missed out in bringing in a much needed forward but it's been a great window for us.

Fingers crossed we get through to January without any injuries.

Great window for us, any City fan annoyed at a big name not coming in, we'd have been mugged off going for anyone on the fee, every club would have been aware of the Kodjia money and would have added a couple of million to their prices. Tammy to lead us this season anyway and I'm sure we'll sign someone in January.

James Henry gone to Bolton on loan. Surprised he dropped down a level, could do a solid job for half the teams in this league. Was our top goalscorer last season as a winger..

An hour to go then and it's all gone quiet for Town it seems. We're a striker short of an excellent window, disappointed we couldn't seemingly get something done.
Agreed, but I think overall it's been a good window for us. Murphy is a huge loss, but I'm confident the players we've signed elsewhere on the pitch will make up for it.

Taken from BBC Sport,

There was a record £215m gross spend by Championship clubs, more than twice the previous record. However, the disparity of wealth between last season's relegated clubs and seasoned Championship campaigners was once again highlighted.

Newcastle and Aston Villa made use of the £64m parachute payments - guaranteed after dropping down a division - and spent more than £110m between them during this window.

Villa's outlay was more than £60m. It included the £11m spent to buy striker Jonathan Kodjia from Bristol City - which might rise to a Championship-record fee of £15m - and the £12m paid to Fulham for forward Ross McCormack.

The Magpies finished the window with a net profit of more than £30m, despite spending more than £54m on players. That was largely as a result of the Championship-record £30m deadline-day sale of midfielder Moussa Sissoko to Tottenham.

Norwich City, who lost a year's worth of parachute payments having stayed in the Premier League for only one season, spent about £15m.

Wolves, under new Chinese ownership, paid a club-record £7m for Monaco forward Ivan Cavaleiro - a 13th signing of the summer, bringing their total spend to £14m.

By contrast, league newcomers Burton Albion spent a club-record £300,000 on midfielder Jackson Irvine from Ross County.

The English Championship was in fact the fifth-biggest spending league in Europe, beating the amount spent by France's Ligue 1.

Also, McGeady now official. Pleased with that.

I wouldn't be overly pleased, got talent but seems overweight and not interested these days. Was pretty poor for us.

Type of player Grayson usually gets some change out of, I think he'll be a decent addition for us, on our budget.

Considering the quality we managed to bring in £12M is a pittance when you see Kodjia going for £11M.

I would estimate Reach is worth about £1million at a push based purely on talent. Ridiculous what you've paid for him.

Reach is over priced but he'll be a good signing for Wednesday.

Plays best behind the striker imo but can play on either wing and can also fill in at full back.

Hard working, physical, carries the ball forward well and rarely loses possession. Needs to add a bit of composure in front of goal because he missed some sitters for us but he could potentially hit double figures in a good team.

Was hoping we would get him back on loan but obviously that was never going to happen.

Think we spent about £11-12m this window, but ended up making a net profit

In typical Leeds fashion, we've terminated our captain's contract by mutual consent [emoji38]

To be fair, Bamba was oddly kept on as skipper despite being unlikely to play much but they've said personal reasons.

To be fair he was a good guy and got the club so can only wish him the very best. Was a rock at times early on but became more and more suspect as time went on.

Plenty of free agents about, Ekstrand's still training with us who'd be an upgrade on Bamba should you decide to go back in for him.

Doubt it. We'll probably just hope we don't get injuries/suspensions and then use Ayling as cover.

Everything is just so braindead and disorganised here and it's so shit. This wouldn't even be an issue if we'd pre-empted it.

We have very few CBs, about 3 strikers and more central midfielders than you can fit on a Boeing 747 ffs.
