Also Villa's now owner has expressed his disappointment in Gabby Agbonlahor, apparently he rejected a deanline deal to move to Reading.

Pleased with Emanuelson signing, can play left back too so should be better competition than Helan who will probably leave in January.

That's the problem with "Lord" Bendtner. His ego doesn't match with his playing skills. This guy is pure poison for any good club atmosphere. Have seen this lately at Wolfsburg. Never seen this behaviour, unprofessionell to say the least.
But maybe he has realized now that he isn't the bright star he thought he was when he decided to play in a lower league. Maybe the "Lord" comes down to earth now (literally speaking)

Good job Forest don't have a 'good club atmosphere' to be poisoned then. :2thumb:

Ekstrand signed on a one year deal. Brilliant cover that, started most games for Watford when they got out of this division, had injury problems since.

He wont just be cover mate, once he is fully fit he will be a starter. Much better player when 100% .

Ahead of Magnusson? We shall see pal, I think he'll undoubtedly have a part to play this season.

May allow rotation, but Ekstrand would only really prove himself if he had a good 10 game run which I can't see him getting considering how Hordur seems to have started.

Doubt that very much. Magnusson has been arguably out best defender.

BEP reported that Ipswich and Wednesday wanted Pack before he signed a new deal. Would've been ridiculous if we'd have sold to either of those two, look how it's ended up for Skuse at Ipswich.

We were linked with Pack prior to joining you, we've never been interested since. Lazy journalism.

No offence to Marlon Pack but he's not going to get in above Lee, Bannan, Abdi, Jones etc

An important part of the team and a guaranteed starter every week? Disastrous.

Maybe the point was it's hardly pushed his career on has it. He's been stuck in this league for years.

Let's be right Ipswich are a bigger club and joined them when you had been relegated to League One.

Not arguing that point. I guarantee if you'd ask Cole if his career had progressed as he'd hoped when he joined Ipswich, he'd say no.

Oh and for the record, I rate Pack higher than Skuse. The strange one being he's not a guaranteed starter for us due to the options we have.

Depends how you view it, he could argue racking 40+ appearances for three years straight as opposed to 25-30 at Bristol City is progression.

Ipswich have generally been there or there abouts around the play offs while with them (first season 4 points off, 2nd season in the play offs and last season 5 points off), he barely played for us in our best season in the championship, so with us he was generally playing during our decline. So yeah I would say Ipswich has been a step up for his career and as Walkley pointed out he's playing more regularly as well.

Not at all what I meant, so drop the tone.

I meant that he's been the best player (reportedly) in a side that has finished in the top six in this division in recent years.

Fair point on the first three, but David Jones

I know who I'd prefer nowadays, especially given what Burnley fans said about his recent performances.

David Jones played 40+ league games for a side that was promoted automatically last season, quality midfielder and comfortably better than any at Bristol City.

Gary O'Neil played 33 times for a side in the Premier League last season SF, I think not.

Jones is far better than Pack, that's more the point.

He said better than any midfielder in at Bristol City. Korey Smith made 30+ appearances when Norwich got promoted out of this league at 21 years old, it's just a ridiculous thing to say on a ridiculous basis.

My opinion isn't based on the number of appearances last season, it's based on Jones being a better midfielder Smith, O'Neil and Pack.

Laughable. Much prefer O'Neil and Smith.
