In all seriousness Jase, our COO was open with add ons in a phone in shortly after the transfer window finished.

He said that there was £11m up front, and add ons for promotion, goals, international appearances etc and a chunky sell on fee. Whether we get the whole £15m I actually doubt but probably won't be far off.

Well you've only got £10million for him so far...
Was based on MB saying £13m with add ons included, fee received so far irrelevant in that regards, overall potential fee would be less.

If we were any other club other than Brentford; I think we'd get way more than that. There is no way Kodija should be worth more than Hogan, Hogan is just a much better striker, but we can't pay Hogan what he'd get elsewhere so I can imagine another Tarkowski situation happening.

Hogan has come out saying he wouldn't move to another Championship club unless Brentford got enough money that we actively wanted him to go. I would suggest that's £15m plus a sell on fee.

Trouble is we are now in a situation where top championship clubs are actually willing to pay more than premier league teams for Championship quality players (and while Hogan is amazing, I think his style of play struggles in the PL) so we might actually get screwed by that

Yeah I fully agree, the Kodjia fee should set the benchmark, and Hogan is younger and arguably better.

Amazing how a player who looked as if he may struggle to ever make it at Brentford back in February last year is now potentially going for £10m+ mind.

We got that much for Kodjia because he scored 20 in the previous season (adds value as its seen as a landmark) and Villa were desperate and willing to pay over the odds, most City fans would have agreed £7.5m ish probably would have been his value, as a similar mark to Gray the year beforehand. City fans were astounded we got as much for him as we did, but given it was also the last few days of the window it drove up his price.

You can't just look at a transfer and say player A was sold for x amount of money therefore player B must be sold for y amount of money.

Hogan's knee injury history will likely impact on the potential fee you could fetch for him too.

Was murmurs round the ground on Saturday of Adel Taarabt coming in. Not the sort of player you need in a relegation battle. Warnock has also pretty much said the whole squad is available and to expect a few names in. Exciting times are coming!

Does anyone know how much we received for the Bolasie sell on? I've heard figures ranging from £3M to £9M so would assume it's somewhere in the middle if not nearer the lower figure.
Add whatever amount we got for Bolasie, the Kodjia fee (we couldn't turn that down) plus our owners willingness to back LJ and we might have some serious spending power in the window. Wether we spend it is another matter altogether and our crap run of form and subsequent slide down the table won't have helped any potential recruitment.
I think we were in for Joe Mason once Kodjia left weren't we but ran out of time? Maybe we will try to resurrect that deal?
Personally, I can see a couple of loan deals (Mousset type players maybe Grabban) and a couple of experienced, more physical players coming in, probably from abroad.
I see LJ is saying we need a Kaliffe Cisse type player, I could not agree more!

Think the rumour was 15% profit, we sold him for £300k and they sold him for £25m. £24.7m profit = £3.7m (ish) to us, we also got another million or so for the Albert sell on. £15m plus in fees received in the summer that theoretically could be spent.

Agree that you can't just say one player sold for X, so this one must be Y, but the stats are all in Hogan's favour regarding him being worth a better transfer fee. Kodija got 20 goals in 46 games, Hogan has 20 in only 30 games so far, a number of those as a sub, and coming off the back of being out for 2 years.

Mason has just come back from a 3 month injury, not sure if you would want to risk signing him in January.

True but the goals weren't the aspect that drove his fee up, it was the time of the window and Villa's desperation for the player. If you are negotiating in similar circumstances you could well end up getting a higher fee Hogan will certainly command a big fee.

I've no idea Mark, just stating that we tried to force a very late deal through once Kodjia left in the last window. I haven't got the foggiest idea what we will do TBH but we WILL be doing something.

That there, however, would be the major stumbling block for the majority.

Sounds about right. Some journalists were saying £6m+ including one of Palace's local ones but we'll never know as I bet the payments are staggered.

Also received money for Ayling, Agard, Williams etc so we aren't short on money.

Magic/KevinMcallister what's happened to Diagouraga? As unambitious as it sounds I'd be more than happy to take your fifth choice central midfielder or whatever he is, would be exactly what we need in the middle.

You signed our second choice right back and look how that worked out, reckon that would be a sensible and affordable deal.

You sure you got anything at all for Adomah considering the deal was a straight swap for Adamah Traore?

Good player, still doesn't seem to have settled 100% for us, but you can see his ability.
