To be honest its just based on the fact we sold Britt and have replaced him with Murphy. We don't have much pace going forward and a journo connected to the owners said that the bulk of that Britt money will be invested in replacing him. Feels like a roundabout way of doing it, but it would make sense. Few murmurings we are interested though nothing concrete.

If his contract wasn't up in a year, we'd be asking £12m plus add ons. As it is, we tend to drop our price quite a lot when they have less than 12 months on their deal (Button and Bidwell both left for just over a £1m), so I reckon £7m probably does get him.

But, the price would be higher for Championship teams, as we're going for a play off spot this year and don't want to strengthen any of our rivals.
