They're still pretty cheap. We do a bit of a mix of home based and abroad, and will end up making massive profits on all the players we signed from L2.
The going rate for good L1 players will be £3-4m after this window. L2 players between £1-2m.

Still a huge risk for clubs that don't have big sums of cash to throw around. I don't begrudge Brentford their success, but the reason you've been able to invest in the first place is because of Benham. It's easy to make money when you got money.

On the other hand, club academies have basically become charity for poorer clubs. One market closes, another opens (so they say).

Linked with Reto Ziegler. Him and Borthwick-Jackson would add some depth to our back line. Suspect Berardi will take some forcing out at LB but if one of these two come in and show something at CB, would make me a lot more confident about having a viable partner for Jansson.

Ex Spurs? I used to really like him but he must be getting on now.

Totally agree on the Benham front, wouldn't be where we are today without him.

We're still punching well above our weight in this division, even with the money he's put in. We can't afford to get transfers wrong either, but our success rate has been pretty good.

Forest striker Jason Cummings was at our match today and was tweeting the club afterwards... strange since they only just signed him.

Burton looking at signing Craig Noone from us, don't think it would be on a permanent deal as he's on 20k odd a week.

Deals apparently progressing for Lewis Baker and Leandro Bacuna.

We could only field six subs yesterday, so any signing would be a blessing.

Not sure how reliable Alan Nixon is but he says we've bid 8m for Sam Gallagher but it was rejected.

Jesus we only bid £3 million for him a couple of months back!

Apparently Southampton are holding out for 10m, and it's likely Newcastle will pay it. 11 goals in one Championship season doesn't mean you're worth 10m surely..

Well Zohore got 12 and we've valued him at £20 million so who knows...Danny Ward also got 12 and we paid a million for him...

I think the unwritten rule is that playing for Rotherham decreases your value even if you're a good player. Look at that Fisher Preston just signed.

He was watching his mate and got pictured in a photo on the Wolves twitter account saying "the Ruben Neves fan club" and he replied saying he's not in the fan club. Not that strange really.

Lansdown saod yesterday that we'll start talking to other clubs about Flint with offers from £5m.

He also said Bryan would only be sold to a Premier League side.

He said similar about Kodjia last year, but then Villa made a stupidly big bid.
He then did an interview where he apologised for going back on his word.

A striker we were after last summer turns up at our match tweeting the club is strange to me. Chill out son.

That quotes been twisted, someone asked Lansdown 'would you accept £10m for Flint?', his response was obviously yes and next thing its reported as City set £10m asking price.

Really hope we can get Baker, would be an excellent signing IMO. Sounds like 2 other Championship clubs and a Premierleague team (Bournemouth?) have also come in for him, but we're rumoured to have agreed with Chelsea about a month ago that he will join us when they sign a suitable replacement. Here's hoping.

Not fussed about Bacuna, not sure what's the point in spending £1m+ in backups. Kind of the same problem with Modou Barrow too. Though I guess we actually have some money to spend now, so it shouldn't be so strange.

Also hope we make another bid for Nelson Oliveira given his reaction on Saturday.

"I'm not convinced that Birmingham have the money..."

We offered £10m last month for Lois Diony. The money's there.

Ashton & Johnson are meddling with forces they don't understand.

Arry knows the game these 2 are trying it on
