QPR trying to get rid of JET

Odd considering Hollowhead was bragging about being able to play him this season

Even in our big book of historically bad transfers, Joe Mason is/was a bad transfer.

We're just waiting for official confirmation of two incomings and one outgoing. Sam Clucas is off to Swansea for £16.5m and Stephen Kingsley is making the opposite switch on a permanent. If we've got £16.5m + Kingsley for Clucas then we've had Swansea's pants down here. We've also agreed a £3m fee with Arsenal for Jon Toral. Player had a medical yesterday and now wondering what's holding the announcement up.
Guessing you don't want to spend the £3m on Toral if the Clucas deal were to fall through.

£16.5m + Kingsley for Clucas is outstanding business by you guys if the numbers are right.

Jay-Roy Grot all but confirmed from NEC Nijmegan

1 striker in, another to go I think, with Gestede and Hugill rumours not going away, I suspect our next signing is the guy we want as our main striker as Grot is only 19 , rather Hugill over Gestede (who Middlesbrough seem reluctant to sell)

Hull have apparently bid for Barry Bannan, absolutely no chance unless they give us 12M. Been our best player this season and looks like the Bannan of 15/16 again.

A Reading fan on twitter thinking they can get Pearson for 3 million.

Cute.

I think the equation is ask a Preston fan how much one of their players is worth, take a couple of 0's off from the end of their estimation and that's the real figure.

You could argue in recent years that Bodvarsson/ Clarke/ Sigurdarson/ Frankowski/ Le Fondre/ Holt/ Graham... were all worse than Mason.

Nope, Clarke cost little and regardless of goals returned he allowed Dicko to be rest in the promotion year and played okay and was a change of pace. Saw him in person that first season a couple times too. Le Fondre and Holt were ill advised loans. Frankowski a gamble that didn't work out and is the closest. Sguardarsson was young and at least flashed odd bits of raw talent. Mason was an expensive bum, he showed us what he showed at Cardiff, which is why buying him for 3 Million when we were desperate for a proper striker was just poor. From what I have seen of Burton I don't even know if he will get a game there.

I mean you did reject a bid over £5m for him from us, so does that make you guys double losers?

Was that paper talk or an official bid you made though? Crazy to think we turned down £5m only to end up loaning him to Burton.

Supposedly Siem de Jong rejected our contract offer. Hope we go in for a better striker than that in the next week.. After making several £5m+ bids for proven Championship strikers it seems weird that we would then attempt to sign a player with an average/poor scoring record from the Netherlands.

Last summer after we sold Kodjia, think it was £5.1m we bid, was definitely over £5m.

Ben Pearson is easily our most valuable player.

The only one who I wouldn't have any doubts about when it comes to stepping up to the Premier League, only 22.

£3m, lol.

Stephen Kingsley and Jon Toral have finally signed. Comrade Slutsky says we're also "very close" to a striker.

Club has confirmed we've rejected two bids for Jota, one from Boro for £4.5m + add ons.

Why don't we just bid a normal amount for him. Some of the fees we've been willing to pay for worse players make no sense and then a player like Jota comes available and we muck about.
