Mir signs for Wolves. We are an unstoppable juggernaut, given the lads number 9 so convinced that means he will get at least 906 career league goals as he has cost close to 90x what we paid for Bully.

Obviously never heard of him so just searched him. Not played a single minute for Valencia this year but only 20 year old so just a gamble by the looks of it at 2m.

It is a gamble yes, but 2m isn't much on todays market. He is labled as a wonderkid by Spanish press, and 15 goals in 19 is impressive at any level. Been through Barca and Valencia's academy whilst wanted by Real Madrid and Tottenham. It's a big if but if this guy lives up to the hype this is going to be a huge coup for Wolves.

Giving him the number 9 shirt aswell.

If madrid or spurs wanted him they'd of got him, could be good not done anything of note yet like but 2m is peanuts for a prem club

Not nescessarily. If he went to Madrid he would be stuck in the B team, like he was in Valencia which would be a sideways step. Tottenham likewise, would be down the pecking order. At Wolves he will get gametime to fulfill his apparent potential. If these players are as good as they are billed up to be, they are only using Wolves as a shop window anyway.

Not necessarily. Spurs and RM would have offered reserve football. He'd had enough of that (and he was in the reserve side because he refused to sign a new contract). A lot of people questioned us signing Barry Douglas, Diogo Jota, Vinagre (including me). They've done OK. Got a lot of faith in Nuno right now. Can't imagine why.

I'm with Mark. Great signing. I guess we'll see in a few weeks' time whether he is much good.

To be fair I'm fancying wolves to not just go up and stay up but go up and be challenging for a European spot. Can't see owt to be thrilled about with that signing but he's only 20 I suppose so who knows, put it this way wolves manager knows a fucking damn site more than I do anyway.

Nuno managed him at Valencia and gave him his debut. Also Mir's agent is friends with Jorge Mendes, which is another reason for the deal I guess.

It will be nice for someone to share the burden from Bonatini anyway.

All about building a squad to mount a top half prem challenge for you , nowt to worry about this year.

Really? Or you just saying that because he's left Rovers?

What's being said in regards to Hugill at your end? There's serious interest there from you lot but it would take serious money for us to let him go. Do you think you're willing to pay it?

Me too, I was delighted when we signed Jota, then annoyed it wasn't the Brentford one, but some Spanish lad I'd never heard off. Turned out to not only be Portuguese, but the best Wolves player I've ever seen potentially.

Bodin is very good. He was very good in the lower leagues, but I've watched him 3/4 times, 2 of them being live in the last 12 months and he has absolutely everything to succeed at this level.

He's not a small lad, he's quick, ridiculously good with the ball at his feet and scores so many ridiculous goals from ridiculous areas. I know you can't judge players from YouTube videos but I'd encourage you to watch a few of his goal and assist compilations, he was taking the piss in L1. Amazed he didn't go in the summer.

As for Hugill very little. I think we want him but you won't budge on your price. I can't moan, we do the same, you're a well run club.

Iv never heard of the lad but I read today that he would have played regularly for Valencia this year but he refused a new deal and agreed to go to Madrid so they stuck him in the b team. 15 in his last 19 for them but can't imagine the standard is great.

Reports that Robbie Keane could be on his way back, very strange.

Saw that last night but since spotted a few disclaiming it. Would be odd as can't see at all that he'd play or where he'd even fit in. There is a much younger Wolves fan in my consciousness that would be delighted to see him have even one more game in a Wolves shirt.

Gotta echo these thoughts. It's very rare that you find a player who's 2 footed as well - he's a gem.

Just a shame we couldn't sign him on a contract and actually sold him for what he's worth. Apparently we have a 20% sell on fee though, which is great news, if he keeps improving like he should do, he's the type of player that Preston could sell for 5m+ in a couple of years.

Good luck Billy, i'll be watching with a very keen eye

I'd like to think the signings of Moult and Bodin have no effect on Hugill's situation, we've badly missed Sean Maguire and have needed extra competition up front all season as Mavididi was a flop.

That said, £10m is mental for Hugill, he's a good disruptive targetman with a decent strike rate but since we returned to this level 17 years ago, he wouldn't even get in a top 5 of strikers we've had. Still hope we keep him till the end of the season mind as Moult is an unknown at this level.

We still need to sign another striker imo, while Maguire is out, hopefully that Simpson at Hartlepool. Get him and Kean Bryan and I reckon we're done.

Aye, both better players than Hugill.

I'm not shitting on the guy as he's a good front man but just can't my head around these fees.
